Hi, I have a serious problem with my breathing. Recently, I suffered from bronchitis. The doctor prescribed me medicine that helped me a lot. Now the bronchitis is gone, but another problem occurred. The breathing problem. I wake up in the middle of the night because I can't breath, I feel like I'm drowning. I worry that maybe this drowning feeling is a consequence of the bronchitis. Can you tell me what could be the cause of this drowning sensation?
Hi, I have a similar problem. The feeling of drowning that you talk about is very familiar to me. I used to wake up in the middle of the night because I couldn't breath. The only thing I could advise you is to talk to the doctor who treated you when you had bronchitis. I didn't have bronchitis when this drowning sensation started to appear. I was also very concerned, so I went to see a doctor. After some tests the doctor told me that I had a sinus inflammation that caused post nasal drip. This inflammation caused the fluid from my nose to gather in the throat during the night and that is what produced the drowning sensation. I guess that in your case the bronchitis caused the sinus inflammation. I was prescribed a bunch of antibiotics and some other drugs to deal with sinus infection. You should definitely pay a visit to your doctor and explain your problem. I am positive that with the right treatment your problem will soon be over.
