Im not sure if what i'm feeling is the same or similar to what is being discussed on this particular feed. I personally would say it feels more like a form of inflammation, under or on the skin or lining, on-top of "something", within or around the ribcage. I've been feeling this for quite a while now(years). I plan on going to have it checked(again) soon. I've shared my concern for this discomfort before at an annual physical, but I chose not to follow up with the assigned specialty departments for whatever reason. I have noticed some relief when taking certain supplements such as sunflower lecithin and tyrosine, they are said to help the liver, amongst other things. I've associated the discomfort with my past alcohol use although from the looks of it, alcohol doesn't necessarily appear to be the reoccurring theme or precursor. A little about me, Im 27, just about 155, i run, miles, weekly(usually); in my early twenties i drank, socially, smoked as well, i have since quit, both. I saw a post on here, someone wrote about it possibly being a peptic ulcer, i have a tab on that open now, i plan to read up on it. I am no doctor though, but when i do visit an actual professional, if i do find the cause and am able to relieve myself of this discomfort, i will return here with my solution and high hopes that it can help solve the problem with someone else. Have you ever had surgery such as RNY gastric bypass?
Wow me too I bend over and feel like something is inside right-side just to the front upper abdomen under rib. I sit down and can feel it had an ultrasound and they said no at ones x sometimes it aches and it is worrying me xxx
Sorry should say no gall stones xx yet it worries me as I have put weight on and feel like I have fluid x can this be weight gain or an age thing I am 45 but fit and in good.health xx
I have the same sort of thing and it's really worrying me. I am 24.
It feels like spasms/palpitations on my right side in line with my belly button but a few inches to the right between my hip and ribs. It's not painful just a very weird and uncomfortable feeling. It almost feels like someones poking me or like a there's a big hard knot or bubble (I can't physically feel anything though like a lump) or almost like a baby kicking (not pregnant)
It started last month but has got worse now it seemed to happen a few times a day but it's getting more constant.
Anyone got any further diagnosis on something like this?

This may be helpful to some of you, I had the same uncomfortable feeling under my right rib, worried myself about it for over a month. I had given up drinking milk about a week before I started to get this weird feeling when I bent over. Looked on a bunch of message boards about this but couldn't fit gall bladder issues or fatty liver to my lifestyle. After doing some research I realised that it might be an inflammation of my Duodenum, one of the more likely causes of this is Helicobacter Pylori infection. Everyone has this but if it gets out of control it can cause inflammation. This can be suppressed with a substance called butyrate which is found in milk, butter and parmassan cheese (and is produced by other bacteria found in other foods). I started drinking a glass of milk each morning and after three days I could hardly notice the weird feeling anymore, a week and a half later and it was totally gone, although the snoring was back.
I don't claim to be a medical professional or to understand the mechanism at work, but It did totally sort my problem out and may be worth trying. Obviously some of you may be suffering from more serious issues like gallbladder or liver problems, but after a month of that irritating feeling I was ready to try anything and for those of you that have had it for years I cant imagine how frustrating it is.

I have it too. I live on a heating pad. It radiates to my back. Had my gallbladder out two years ago. All tests were normal prior to removal but it was diseased and adhesed to liver and intestines.
It's a terrible pressure like feeling. Hurts to move and at times feels like a ball under the ribs or a constant stitch in the ribs feeling on the right side. It makes my back burn.
I hate it.
I'm going to see a surgeon soon to see if it adhesions.
I also get bouts of diarrhea and fatigue.
I also wonder if it is spasms of the sphincter of oddi.
I take bentyl and it helps somewhat

I too have begun having the same pain... It may be a peptic ulcer, but I have never smoked, drink no pop, have a fairly healthy diet, eat mostly GF and try to watch acids. However, I did note that the article said to drink water and other juices. Since I need to be careful of sugars, I know that I did not drink enough water both times this pain occurred. I would suggest to everyone that they try to drink more water!!! I did start drinking coffee about a year ago since teas were affecting my kidneys. No more kidney pain but now I have this new pain, so I will try to drink less coffee and more water! :)
look up slipping rib syndrome
You need to research floating/slipped rib syndrome.
Research floating/slipped rib syndrome.
Most of these symptoms seem to be associated with floating/slipped rib syndrome. The hypermobile or dislocating lower ribs can overlap, move around, the tissue that supports them can become inflamed, the loose ribs can move and dig into underlying nerves that then affect the back and shoulders etc. The ribs can "pop" in and out of place with pressure, feel like lumps, make the ribcage out of shape, ache, hurt in certain positions, feel tender, be agonising.
I also gave the "bubble feeling's and bending over also cramps and like an organ is sittig on another. Cramps onrrightright side under ribs. .would love to know what it is too.
Me too exact same for me. It's like if I sit bend or move a certain way it feels like something pops out on top of my right side of my ribs and I have to like push it back down. Does anyone know what it could be?
Oh my Allah, I have all these symptoms in me. Whenever I bend down something (like liquid or gas) flows inside the skin from upper right ribs down to the bally cavity. In the period of one year it has appeared for third time. I told to the doctor and he laughed at me. He said its nothing but my on mental feelings. He also suggested me some exercises. Now I am going to take it very seriously. This page really helped me to take a decision. Thanks everyone.
