Have same thing, usually when I bend over. And I AM chunky. I asked my dr. She said I have a long rib cage and that's prob what happens, I bend over and something slips under my ribs and hurts, then it fades after awhile, like when little and would bend over back of a chair!

I have experienced same for some time now ... It is symptomatic of a hiatal hernia when a muscle (I believe at the bottom of the duodendrum (?) )weakens due to stress. Definitely get it checked out. I have landed in the ER 2 times because my stomach moved up pusing into theinto the duo (?)....well, good to get it checked in case.

Hi I have been suvering like a dog for 3uears it first started at night I was trying to sleep. I felt as though I was pregnant it's only way to describe it I wasn't as I would rather be having a kid at 42then this it always hurts moves around pushes pullls makes like unbearable.I had a cat scan few weeks ago they found a mass on my liver I was sorta relieved. Mri in few weeks I hope it's not cancer but I hope it's what been giving me this prob for so longgg thanks glad to no I wasn't only one. I have severe right side pain feels like something is there like moving but it hurts so bad.. I had my gallbladder removed Oct. but this pain is really bad.
After dealing with the same issues. My Gynecologist suggested it may be gallbladder related. He wants me to have a sonogram 3weeks later. But I'm going to a specialist before then, and will gladly share the outcome. Good luck and God Bless You All.
I have been having pain in my rib area,left side,when bending over to tie shoe laces... today it's been on and off pain just sitting on a chair...so not sure what it is...could be trapped gas...I've had my gall bladder out 2 years ago so can't be that...

Hi, It makes me feel better to know that others are experiencing this and I am not losing my mind. However, I am sorry all of you are going through the same as I. It started about a month ago, I noticed when I tied my shoes that something was not right in my rib area, right side. I am so afraid to go to the doctor and be told it is something I don't want to hear...like the "C" word. I am 75 years old and don't have much time left but I would like to spend it without being sick with a dreaded disease. Since I got this in my right rib area I have noticed I get gasey if I eat the slightest thing. I have started getting diarehia and usually have to go to the bathroom immediately after eating. I too have acid reflux and take Nexium, which I have been on for several years, I wonder if the two are related. My stomach has also expanded. I have gained about thirty pounds in the last five months. I have never weighed this much, 185 and I can't seem to lose a pound no matter how hard I try...this all started around the same time.
