I am so glad I found this feed I cut chillies today and put it in pasta only touched them with my left hand I only felt it 10 minutes ago in the shower too im so glad it was only my Paws opening and the chillies burning I feel much better knowing that I am not having a panic attack now

its the third time i feel my right thumb and left ring finger n thum i feel heat on them at first i thought i might of had a small hardly visible thin piece of wood that might of gotten stuck in my skin n sometimes that sightly hurts if i press on it but i think its something else now anyone know what it might be it just feela weird n never felt this before i am also worried :
Yes I was cutting chili up last night to. My fingertips just started to burn like crazy. That's so weird on my left hand only. But i m right handed and I was holding the knife with my right hand and hold the peppers with my left so maybe that's why its only my left burning lol
Of course I googled this issue and found you fin folk. I too was baffled by the same symptoms. I made guacamole this afternoon with a serano peppers. Thank you all for helping to solve the mystery! (The guacamole was fabulous and definitely worth the this weirdness.)

Recently started having the same symtoms ( left hand fingers ) , I thought it might be my chelesterol medication . This is really scary

Mystery solved. Made chili verde yesterday, chopping lots of chilies. I actually thought it was from too much knitting, but it just didn't make sense. Next time I'll wear gloves when chopping those hot peppers.

Before 12 hours I spend 1 hour cutting hot chilli's using gloves, just now started to feel hot like fire in my 3 left hand fingers, started with the forefinger then middle finger then ring finger, it's for more than 15 minutes now? Any explanation for that please?

My finger tips on my right hand has this from time to time. It feels extremely hot and in itself is hot to the touch. Has anyone diagnosed it..or has a name for it.
