I had the same problem, the foreskin was attached to the head of my penis. this wasnt the frenulum, was the end of my foreskin on the left side attached to the eye. It meant that i could detract the foreskin at all over the head. Went to GP who then send me to a urologist. I had an operation done to detect the skin and have been given steroid cream to sort out the phimosis. Had the op 5 days ago, is starting to heal up and can retract the foreskin fully back over the penis when flaccid (albeit still abit painful), still a way to go before i can do that erect though.
My advice is just go to ur GP they will help u out, i know its embarrasing etc but is worth it in the end

I'm 18 and also have this problem, there is a thin red-looking piece of flesh/skin connecting my foreskin to the underside of my head. When fully erect I can retract to reveal maybe 3/4 to half of my head and then I experience pain and the foreskin's too tight to go any further.
It almost seams as if you can just snip the little thing connecting to my head and it would solve the problem..
probably should just go see a urologist.

Hi 'Guest',
That piece of skin sounds to me like it could be your 'frenulum'. Can you do a google search for me and let us know if were on the right track.

I also have this problem!! I am 14 years old and have just discovered it recently, will it "unadhere" on its own within time or do i definitely need to consult a doctor or something, if there is some sort of other solution in which i would not have to tell my parents i would be extremely grateful - i know they need to know but if there is a better solution where they wouldn't need to find out that would be great thanks. Please bear in mind i live miles away from my doctor or clinic or whatever and can't get there on my own, i know it is a long-shot but if there's another way i would be greatful to know!! thankyou!!

Thanks a lot, I tried a method that many of you have suggested for eliminating this problem. I "soaked" my penis and glans, including the area in which suffers the phimosis problem, then tried some stretching exercising. That was last night, today I have retracted my foreskin as far as it will go and the glans is very sore and reddened and stings a little!! ARGH!!! What should I do!?

Mine is not "adhered" but more like fused by a what seems like a thin semi-stretchi string of flesh, kinda seems like nervous tissue, or maybe I'm just too nervous to find out. This like posts below makes full erection difficult and think that it may be the reason my spouse and I are having trouble conceiving, please advise....

I was reading this and I have exactly the same problem (piesce of physical skin stops the further retraction of the foreskin). But I also read on some other forums that this will go away by itself, that it will retract at late puberty. But I'm 14 and I still have the problem. Also, my parents don't know anything about this and I don't want them to be concerned. Please help out here. It's much like Tom's situation, the only diference is that my doctor is near me (about 1-2 miles from my home), but still I don't want to consult with the doctor. I'm using it as a last resort.

As a lifelong issue for me, I would highly encourage any young man to immediately speak to your parents and see a doctor if this is an issue for you. I fully realize that for young guys especially, and many men in general, it is awkward to talk about one's penis to someone else. However, believe me, failing to do so can impact your sexual life permanently if not resolved. Since I was a little boy, when bathing, I found it difficult to retract the foreskin. It was so painful that it would take my breath away. Then came the same routine when attempting to pull the foresking back over the glans. It was as if the foreskin were too small for the head of my penis, which it turns out it was. At 20, I finally realized that I needed to grow up and see a doctor. I was in the military at the time. Masturbation was a miserable experience. As the erection occured, the foreskin would finally forcefully move back from the head. During masturbation, there was constant pain from the stress of the tight foreskin being forced behind the head. It was like it was tearing wide open as it passed over the head as erection increased. After ejaculation, the foreskin stayed behind the head and getting it back over the glans was almost impossible. I had to slip a cotton swab under the foreskin, lift up -extremely painful, and slowly pull it forward. I knew that when my first sexual experience occured, it was going to be miserable versus pleasurable. Man, I had no idea how painful. That first time, the foreskin ripped during intercourse and I bled profusely. Talk about embarassing. It was worse than a woman on her period.
That experience kept me from any other experience until I finally saw a doctor. Now comes the horror part. The physician that did my circumcision, which he said was the only way to solve the problem, I found out after, had never done an adult circumcision. I guess I was his guinea pig. Anyway, he did not use a bell, but instead did it all freehand. I was injected with local and thought I would pass out from the pain. He put so many injections that my penis should have felt nothing. Not SO! During the surgery, I kept hearing his assistance say that he thought they should contact one of the other hospital physicians. The doctor snapped at the tech and said to simply do his job and leave the surgery up to him. If only that tech had ran from the operating room and gotten help. Apparently, the doctor was either having a very bad day and distracted, or on something. He ended up removing a large portion of my glans, cutting far too much foreskin off, and did such a poor job of stitching that the veins burst in the recovery room. He restitched and the anesthesia had all worn off by this point. I was in agony. As he began restitching, that kind tech literally held my hands to keep me from jerking the doctor's hands away from my penis. I was finally moved to a ward, given something to sleep, and a larg handfull of ice in a glve was placed on my penis.
Sometime later I woke and felt sweaty all over. It was as though I was bathed in sweat. I started moving the sheet from my body and the guy next to me yelled, G.. Almighty, this guy is covered in blood. People came running from every direction. The next thing I remember was the chief surgeon at the hospital telling me that some problems had occured and he needed to get me back to surgery. A few hours later when I finally woke up again, I was in such pain that I thought I would lose my ability to breath. They brought some strong pain medicines and some kind of capsule to sniff that made errections go away. However, when I snapped one to breath in, my head felt like it was going to burst like a balloon. To end the story, my penis was permanently scarred beyond description. A large portion of the glans is missing. The first doctor also nicked the uretha opening which to this day doctors say is a problem if I ever need a catheter. Any time I have an erection, it is extremely painful as there is not enough skin to stretch with the full erection, so it tears loose during intercourse and there is bleeding everytime. Then, I have to go days before the new tears heal. On top of that, underwear constantly rubs the very sore penis. Sometimes I have to wrap it in soft gauze after intercourse. When at home, wear only solf leisure pants without underwear. That allows the penis to hang without being constantly rubbed by underwear.
Erections were meant to bring moments of sheer pleasure. Sex was meant to bring two people closer together. It took my wife and I years and years to have our first child because too often I could not make it to climax due to the agaonizing pain of the erection. I am extremely self-concious about going in and all male locker room or showering in a common shower with other men. My penis is so scarred and mishapen that anyone who even saw it with a glance would think I have some terrible sexual disease. I have told all of this for one reason. If you have a phimosis problem, don't be silly and allow embarassment to prevent you from seeking competent medical care. By all means, see a specialist and make certain that he has performed many of these particular procedures. Failing to do so could take away all future sexual pleasure either alone or with another person. Sexual gratification is far too much a part of a normal life to avoid gaining help. Without a wife who reminds me that my technique and interest in her pleasure is all that matters to her, not how my penis looks. She too has insisted that I explain to her the things that are intolerable to me. Finally, with her love and tremendous attention to my penis problems, we were able to have some beautiful children. Believe me, no son of mine would ever have to live through what I did. And for the dads out there, develop the kind of relationship with your sons that make them feel comfortable in discussing the common male organs that they share. No son should be embarassed for hiis dad to see his penis if there is a problem. But, that will only happen if parents educate themselves on how to approach and breech a sensitive subject like the penis.
If I have encouraged one person, the time spent telling my story will have been well worth it.
A final word, no matter what the age, this can become a problem for almost anyone under the right circumstances. Remember, your penis is a part of your body just as is an arm or leg, though much more pleasurable. Don't allow embarassment to lead to seeing that part of your body as a painful attatchment. It can be fixed. But, again, make certain you trust the doctor explictly. All don't have the same competence! I am living proof of that. Had it not been for that chief surgeon, I would have bled to death in a short time. The veins in my penis, where they had been cut, just exploded on the ends from poor cutting, poor stitching. The surgeon apologized profusely and said over and over that there was no excuse for the agony I endured. It took months for my penis to return to somewhat normal function. For sometime, an erection was like getting notice that someone was going to be slicing the penis off. I hope I have not scared anyone. My whole point is that by avoiding seeking help, you only make the situation worse with potential unnecessary side effects. The KEY IS THE SURGEON!

I had this same problem. It took me several weeks, but I slowly peeled it off of the head of the penis. Occasionally there would be a little bit of pain and some blood, but it healed within 1-2days, and I would wait a few more days until it came off fully. I now have a penis w/out foreskin attached however, I still have tightness upon erections. Some of the above reply's gave some useful advice that I might try.
Hope it helps.

i thought it was normal for my foreskin to be like this, i first saw the head of my penis 2 days ago :, and theres like a strip of skin that runs from the tip (by the tip, i mean where the pee goes out) to the foreskin, it leads to under the head and im too scared to pull my foreskin all the way under the head, the strip of skin first looks like a strip then when it leads under the head it starts to look a bit like a vein, and its really sensitive, if i try to pull the foreskin it makes the tip of my penis look like a muffin top and i dont want it to get sqaush, but ill try stretch >.<

I'm 15 and I also need help with this. imean my bottom foreskin goes behind my penis head but the top of my foreskin wont because it becomes to tight and feels as if it's ripping. I'm feeling as if the little thing that attaches my foreskin to my penis need to be a bit longer.
