I also have the same problem.
16 years old.
I can pull it back but it really hurts, the skin gets red and very sore. I can see this problem is common, should I see a Doctor?

Friends,
I am sorry to say that opinions and concerns of some of the people here are very naive when it comes to phimosis.
There are few things one needs to understand here.
1. The Y-shaped foreskin attachment at the underside of the Glans is indeed normal and nature engineered device. Its function are
a) to prevent the foreskin from rolling up on the penis shaft itself without covering the Glans, OR roll up backwards (like the one under our tongue)
b) To triggers extra pleasure on deep penetration so that a man wants to push and ejaculate deeper inside the woman which increasing the chances of conception.
2. Phimosis is a situation where the fore skin is attached additionally to other parts of the glans (on the above side, on the ridge etc.). This situational usually goes away by the time of puberty, either due to frequent erection when the inner foreskin gets stretched, OR more commonly due to frequent masturbation which keeps rubbing the attached area and pulling the foreskin away from the glans.
In some exceptional and stubborn cases though, the foreskin may not detach at all and medical assistance might become necessary, specially in adults due to discomfort during sexual activities.
Some suggest that the situation should be resolved (with help of steroids, exercise or both) between 4 -6 years of age. Keeping it until later may leave the glans and the inner foreskin to sensitive and often causing premature ejaculation.
Come whatever, except in some rare cases circumcision should never be necessary.
Hope this helps everyone.

saw that this was unresolved
i had the same issue
i'm uncircumcised, and last month i just went to see the urologist. i showed him the spot where the skin from my foreskin was attaching to my glans (near the meatus)
he gave just snipped the thing (he gave me local anesthesia).. then gave me some cream/ointment to put on it... let it heal, and wallah... problem solved
it's not a big deal, just go get it done, it's the summer... so now is the time to fix it
hope that helps
btw, i'm sure whoever said you can pull the skin away (like it was crazy glued to your glans) is right as well... i got close, but it was too sensitive, and the pain wasn't worth it. i'd rather have a professional do it for me.

I have the Y shaped thing problem that everyone else is talking about. I'm 15 and I only noticed it... about a month ago. I find it easy to just slowly but surely pull my foreskin down. I can almost get the opposite side all the way over but it starts to hurt. A lot. It's right in the middle of my penis.... so I stop for a few days and do it again. So far I've gotten it from just the head to what I said earlier. It still won't come off though. I may have to take a mild pain killer and then try. Oh well. If it doesn't work within the next month should I go see a doctor? I don't want my parents to know though.... It's embarassing.... %-)

Hi Guest,
Personally I wouldn't recommend taking the pain killer and then trying, you need to feel the pain so you know when to stop.
This Y shaped thing is most probably your frenulum and it being there is absolutely normal.
How long have you been stretching for? It sounds like you've made some good progress so far. I would give it another few weeks and if there is no progress at all then the chances are your frenulum is too short and you may require a frenuloplasty. It's only a small operation under a local anaesthetic and is nothing to worry about.
Let us know how you get on :)

Hey need some advice, my foreskin is attached to the head of my penis by a strip of skin, which does not allow the foreskin to retract properly when erect. This causes the foreskin to swell up, and occasional bleeding. What should I do?
There is suppose to be a strip of skin attached. I don't think it's the cause of swelling and bleeding. You should check with a doctor.
Don't try to stretch the bottom part too hard though.

In reply to the 15 year old, if the foreskin is attached to the bell end on the top part of the penis (not the underneigh) then i would say yes hold your bell end and try pulling the skin it will sting but with some persuasion it should break away without bleeding, but might be a little sore but WORTH it :-)
