hello! For the last couple of days I have been experiencing huge urge and frequent need to urinate. At first I thought it is just a common cold that I’ve been through but then my best friend told me that this could be sign of cervical stenosis. Is this true? What is cervical stenosis? Thank you!
Hello there! I honestly don’t think that your frequent need for urination is due to cervical stenosis. If there were any of the disease, I would then say maybe interstitial cystitis or urinary tract infection, as these two conditions have frequent urination as a symptom. But, you may be right as well. It could be your cold as well. If this feeling persists, you should go to a doc to see what it is all about. By the way, cervical stenosis is narrowing or blockage of cervical canal with cramps due to infection or hormonal or trauma or congenital narrowing.
This is a comment on the old post about cervical stenosis being associated with urinary frequency. I am an RN and also someone who has suffered from multiple neuropathies associated with cervical injury.
I believe the confusion here relates to the term cervical stenosis which may be used in reference to the cervix of the uterus but is also used in reference to a narrowing of the area in the neck for the spinal cord which is called cervical stenosis. Cervical stenosis of the neck may definitely manifest itself with bladder spasticity and frequency and this is often an early indication of damage to the cord and can be be quite severe and often intractable. It does not respond to antibiotics or to changes in diet, etc.
However the most common cause of urinary frequency in females is a simple and common bladder infection. Only after bladder infections or irritation (often caused by too much caffeine) and other common causes of this frequency be ruled out should you have any concern about its being related to a spinal (cervical stenosis) problem.

Sir i i am facing High Frequency of urine even after 10 min .Sir my ultrasoud and Urine tests are all poritive .Docotor said that its a rythem dissorder in urination . he gave me tablets genorine fort for a month but it has no effect .I am very disturbed with this condition plz help me
