Sorry if this is really late but I just came across it and thought I'd give my lil theory of what it could be. Type in ASMR on YouTube and find out about it a little more, maybe it's what you have. I have it too! Hope this helps :)

I googled 'goosebumps on head' because I have been having that sensation many times a day for the past 4 weeks due to an auto accident.  At 60mph a huge farm tractor entered the highway w/out checking to see if anyone was coming down the road...he was 15 years old.  I bounced off his tire and blacked out for prob. about 10 seconds, awakening off the roadway w/my hands gripping the wheel and car off.  Do not remember impact or any in between.

The goosebumps are something I have felt before but only on rare occassions.  Now it is more like ten times an hour.  Wish I knew the real reason.

I have experienced this as well. I think this feeling can best be described as "bliss". Usually it happens when I'm in situations where I'm waiting for someone else to complete a task. I remember many times in elementary school listening to my teacher speak and someone sitting behind me kept kicking my chair or I would be watching someone complete a simple task like using scissors. I used to get it a lot as a child but not so much anymore.

I actually just noticed it now when I was settling in to bed and I heard my neighbors having sex haha. Good to know I'm not the ONLY person this happens to. It's a very strange feeling, but also very blissful.

Same here! I just now started to get this feeling..of something going over the right side of my brain..like goosebumps. It was a bit worrisome cause I had no idea what it is but I'm glad I'm not the only one. And that most people seem to actually like it. Haha.

I can not recall if this sensation occurred when I was younger or not but yhe feeling is on my left side as well. I was watching a movie that made me emotional and The sensation was on top left side and flowed down passed my ears to my neck and shoulders...it was weird and it felt good but my question is this, how is it possible that so many people that never met each other and live in different cities have similar experiences? Thats kinda scary

It happens to me, just like that. It like a tingling sensation when i hear something that makes me scared or emotional. But then it leaves, without any headache or anything.

Holy cow, I just googled "goosebumps on my brain" and found this discussion, so crazy to learn the name ASMR and that other people experience it too. Mine has occurred my whole life. First memory is when librarians would talk in hushed tones about factual information. 95% of the time it is triggered by females, when someone is talking solemnly. 100% non-sexual, but it is pleasant and blissful, for me very subtle not overwhelming, it took years before I ever even thought to try identifying or describing the feeling.

WOW!!!!! I just started to check out the ASMR videos on Youtube, it is totally amazing!!!! In real life it is such a chance encounter to experience this sensation that it happens to me maybe once every couple of months. The videos trigger it at will, I'm blown away. Is it like a drug, will I gain a tolerance if I watch the videos too much?

Yes! Finally, a life long mystery has been solved. i have never spoken to anyone about this, because I had no idea how to describe it, and always thought it was a weird quirk only I had. Its goodnto onownthat its more normal than I intitially thought.

I also googled goosebumps on my sculp after experiencing it, sitting on the train kondof jyst watching a lawyer reading through his case file and taking notes. I have been experiencig this as far as I can remember, and it totally puts me into a meditative trance :)
