I get these pimples, which I think are normal pimples and I pop them, but After they pop they turn into little black circles with a small lump around them. they kinda hurt when I touch them, so I dug at one and popped it just like you would to a pimple. A little black ball which was hard and about the size of a quarter of a grain of rice came out along with a little pus and blood. The wound did not bleed and turned into a scar after. I have since been afflicted with about 5 more of these, when previously all I got were the normal pimple issues. I currently have one on my face. Someone help.
How should I treat it, if I leave it alone the black circle simple sits there until I pop it and the black "rice grain" comes out, but then it scars! They hurt too, someone please, please, please help.

It could be that because you pick at them, they may sometimes bleed. This will cause a scab, like a little black dot. Its not unusual. Just leave it alone, or else you will have scars everywhere.

i hope this is a joke...but if not its a blackhead. its a type of pimple. stop picking them and popping them. it just spreads infection and often pushes the dirt and oil deeper into your skin. i am not a doctor so go to a dermatologist to be sure, or buy a facewash from the local drugstore.

I had the same thing, just like you described and I freaked out when I saw it, it was hard and black, like the size of a grain of rice. I got it on my back, it tooke like 2 months to get it out, I picked at it alot.

this just happened to a friend im staying with, he had what appeared to be an ingrown hair on his back, kinda looked like a pimple, so he got me to pop it, and pus came out, but there was black too, so I kept squeezing and a small black chunk came out with a spot of blood, which was weird, and then today it was back so I was squeezing again and 2 more black bits came out ??
his brother and dad say that its a chunk of dirt, they claim its dirt from under the skin compacted into a ball and forced out of the body...thats disgusting
anyways, just was googling it to see if it was anything to worry about and came across this board

You should see a dr about this in case its a staff infection called mrsa. It comes and goes. You may have one at a time or a few at a time. When you pop them they turn kinda dark around the edges and don't seem to go away as easily as pimples. It can turn serious if you don't talk to a dr.

Relax people it's just a blackhead. Dirt got into your pore and then the oil from your skin hardened around it. Maybe a little pus grew underneath it while it was blocking your pore. Either way, when you squeeze it out of your skin, it comes out shaped like a little mini grain of rice, usually yellow/brown/black. If regular pus comes out with it, that's normal too! And of course if you are picking at your skin you can expect it to bleed, and, shockingly, scar. If it bothers you, go to a dermatologist, or sometimes a spa will help you extract them.
Sheesh...I'm too embarrassed to even be writing this under my own name...

I agree? What's wrong with a bit of good pimple popping?
Anyway, back to the subject....
As a long term enjoyer of popping, my advice is this:
a) is the "grain" quite smooth and at least a little bit soft - ie: if you squash it does it flatten a bit (not necessarily smudge), and is not literally like a "rock".
b) although black, I expect the "grain" is blackish, not pitch black, and possibly blacker at one end than the other
If yes to all of the above, the previous anon writer is entirely correct: these are nasty, well developed blackheads. Urk (very satisfying to pop I might say, but you shouldn't: get an expert to do it or you can really scar)
They aren't "dirt from inside", infact it's a myth that blackheads involve dirt: its a reaction between the output of your sebacious glands and your skin that turns the nodule blackish.
If you are getting an outbreak of these, definitely seek some expert help. There is no long term health risk but you can end up with scars etc and they are probably able to be avoided with appropriate treatment.

Don't worry. I would say it's just a type of blackhead. If you have a tendency to scar, don't touch it!! Especially not with your fingers!
You could see a dermatologist if you really want a cure. Or you could reduce them on your own just by washing your face a couple more times a day, using a scrub, using mud masks, etc.
If you must touch it, use the metal skin tool things sold in the drugstore with makeup tools, and not your fingers, which will make it bleed. The tools only cost about $5 and have a little metal loop at the end.
