I started chantix and didn't intended on stopping smoking I stopped smoking June 11 2015 that what when I began the starter pack I smoked from when I was I 14 till 28. I absolutely had all these bad affects from the Medicine but if I didn't stay on it I don't think I would have been about to say I am smoke free today. People smoke around me I think it's weird that it doesn't bother me. I am getting off chantix because I don't need it anymore I am fine without Medcine I can just not smoke. The only way to avoid the Nasae is to eat right when you feel sick it will go away even though that's your instinct not to eat it fees good to eat something small cracker or piece of toast. Light. Headaches those suck but hey I don't wanna smoke or die ten years earlier so I'll ten some pain for a short period thanks
I started chantix about 3 weeks ago, and I will be honest with you guys I did not tell the doctor that I had previously suffered from manic depressive disorder. I just wanted to quit smoking! I got the script only to go home and read the side effects and the reviews from other users and was terrified to use it. Between memory loss and death I was not going to do it. Anywho, after a month of looking at it I started taking it. Honestly I don't know what everyone else (that is supposedly normal in the meaning of not depressed) is going thru when they take it but it did the opposite for me . I have better attitudes, I don't sleep my life away anymore. I get up and I don't feel groggy. I had chronic headaches and they are gone now, I don't have mood swings any worse than normal. I dont even have the dreams.The only real side effect that I have had is polyuria. I can't stop peeing! Its annoying but I don't smoke anymore. I think people are using mind over matter because my doctor would have never given it to me had she known my past and I'm fine despite my awareness to take it. So stop believing everything you read and try it yourself!
OMG! You are the first person I have found having the exact same side effects as me after stopping Chantix! Not sure if you will even see this, but curious if the symptoms ever went away.this brain fog is killing me, like I had a stroke!

I took Chantix for 3 months and am smoke free however I took myself off 2 weeks ago cold turkey,I'm very moody,cry at the drop of the dime and have been in arguments with family and friends,I hope my moodiness ends soon
It works for me, I wake up sick every morning to,but it's better than waking up coughing up flim and dying to catch a breath. And I love the crazy dreams, gonna miss them when I'm done lol
I began chantex 4 weeks ago..began getting badly depressed, and very angry. I dropped it after I punched my truck while working on it, and messed up my hand. The answer to your question. ..yes severe headache...want to stay away from every one, and just want to lay down and sleep..if I can. Your not crazy! They shouldn't be allowed to sell this drug...it is dangerous!
yes it did work...then the nausea became debilitating..even with anti nausea pills. l could not function or eat!..so had to stop..then my cravings became a 1000x worse!.literally made me chain smoke non stop!..it flipped a switch in my brain the other direction..the more times l tried to get back on it the worse the nausea, the worst cravings ever!..and before you judge people, know their story..it gave my ex a seizure and he had to have his face reconstructed from the fall..and l still tried it!..even after hearing that!..so now lm screwed..the cravings are sooo intense..l can't even not smoke in the middle of the night!
I quit Chantix 10 days ago and am experiencing extreme dizziness, loss of coordination, irritation, agitation and anxiousness. What a NIGHTMARE. Smoking was a better experience than this hell. And no, it didn't help me stop smoking.
