The symptoms being described--sensitivity to carbs, white coated tongue--are indicative of a yeast infection, but it may not be that simple. You have to question whether the yeast infection is related to any underlying disease.
People with hypothyroidism often develop yeast infections and ringing in the ears, so there's a possible explanation. Hypothyroidism also causes bloating.
Also, those who have the autoimmune disease Sjogren's get yeast infections in the mouth. Sjogren's, and a form of hypothyroidism called Hashimoto's Thyroiditis, often go hand in hand. Sjogren's is generally detected because the patient has dry mouth and eyes.
Long term use of anitbiotics is another way yeast infections develop (the anitibiotics kill everything--even the good bacteria that keep you from getting the infection). Taking probiotics or eating yogurt with live cultures while you're taking the antibiotics can help that, too.
I would encourage you to look into hypothyroidism if you are lethargic and have joint pain, constipation and a low body temp. Folks with hypothyroidism usually sleep more than the general population.
Good luck!

I too have had a broad spectrum of symptoms over the past four months. i was positive there was a physical reason for these very real, very painful symptoms yet after seeing many physicians everything was normal. My husband had just finished chemo and radiation and I didn't realize just how stressed I was. I am returning to my physician for additional info on how to destress and yes I do intend to ask for antianxiety meds. I have valium but I need to switch b/c I have had it for so long and have not taken it through the day. I read that it was difficult to go off of some drugs but sometimes you just have to admit and
come to terms with the fact that for some in order to have a better quality of life you may need to be on meds for the rest of your life. Right now I have such loud ringing and pressure in my ears I would gladly agree to be on something that would give me some relief. I can't work feeling like this and it is making me depressed. I need to move on and get back to the land of the living. These symptoms is your body's way of telling you
that you are stressed. I know this is not true for all. It's best to always check with your physician. Most people have a cluster of symptoms and a combination of problems. Again stress is a downward spiral that only makes things worse. Good luck, pray for me!

Have you checked with a knowledgable dentist to make sure you don't have TMJ (temporomandibular joint syndrome). TMJ can mimic many illnesses and cause symptoms ranging from headaches to neck pain to ringing in the ears.
I get pressure and a swooshing in my head as well. It happens alot when I'm done using the computer or the telephone. I do have high BP, but otherwise feel fine. No headaches. Its kinda scary so I'll go to the dr. Its been happening a lot lately, weird.
Also, when I lay on my stomach, I get pressure and ringing in the head. This has been happening since I was a kid.

I have had the same symptoms for 7 months now. Intense pressure in my head, frequent headaches, pain in my eyes, blurred vision, vomiting, dizziness, pain in my ears, ringing and swooshing in my ears. I have been to many doctors. I have also had some problems with my chest. I have been to the ER several times thinking I was having a heart attack. I have had CT's with contrast and I just had an MRI with and without contrast. I am still waiting on the results. I am scheduled to see a neurologist next month. My family doctor thinks I have a Pseudotumor Cerebri. Everybody with these symptoms might want to google it. It explains all of my symptoms. The good thing is the only risk is blindness if left untreated. It is NOT a brain tumor, it is an excess of cerebral fluid in your bain. It usually effects women between 20-45 that are overweight or have recently gain weight. I have my daughter and put on about 40 lbs and that is when all of my problems started. It does effect men and children as well. I refuse to believe that this is anxiety. There was no stress in my life until this happened. It actually woke me up in the middle of the night, I felt like my brain was vibrating.
oil of oregano keeps this problem under check for me. i dont use antibotics due ti the other problems they can cause.. you can google oil of oregano and its uses. I will swear by it. its natural
[I've been going thru all of the above and hardly sleep, i used to eat boxes of benadryl and have severe fatigue, craved sweets, was congested and had horrible post nasal drip. Dentists did x-rays and even tho' i thought i had an abscessed tooth they could find no tooth problem, so back to MD that suggests it is a sinus infection, yet my nasal discharge runs clear. Have pressure on cheeks, face breaks out with acne cysts and MD informs me my breath has a "fruity" smell to it which almost always indicates an infection. We went thru 3 different rounds of antibiotics and each one made me sick. The last one was a 350.00 prescription and i took it for 9 days and then i was nauseous and could not vomit, rather held my head over the toilet and profusely drooled. It finally passed but i took no more antibiotics as they made me feel "poisoned"
So here is what i found out and did. Mayo clinic has declared that 90% of sinus infections are of fungal origin. So makes sense if you give a person an antibiotic made from "mold" that you are just adding fuel to the fire and thus the "poisoned" feeling. I also craved sweets and if you have a fungus growth, your body will crave sweets/carbs as that is what fungus grows best on and you're feeding the fungus. There are many antibiotics/antifungal prescription drugs but many are ineffective and also create side effects.
The person using oil of oregano is on the right track as it has antifungal properties. I attacked it from a few different points. I purchased Nutribiotics (i use iherb.com and if you put a checkout code of LOR160 you can get a 5.00 discount if you're a first time user) as they carry that "original" brand of Grapefruit Seed Extract (not grape seed extract)and you need to use 15 drops a couple of x's per day in a large glass of water or juice and the taste is very bitter, so i purchased it in tablets. I also purchased Virgin Organic Coconut oil and take 3 tablespoons a day, also antiviral, antibacterial and antifungal, and then i purchased a colloidal silver nasal spray. Within a few days the numbness jumped from one side of my head to the other, i felt like i had the flu(so expect to get slightly sicker as the fungi die off, not neccessarily, but don't stop if you feel worse a) and all of these products carry little risk like what i went thru with prescription drugs. By using 3 different products i attacked it from all areas and i did get better, that does not mean that it will not recur, as all houses have some of a mold problem. We've made them so well insulated that molds/fungi grow easily and you inhale the spores. Most air purifiers can not pick up the mold spores as the particles are too fine. There are some on the market with ultra violet lights that are supposed to kill mold but they can be very costly. Mine got so bad i thought i had a brain tumor or something. Many ENT's will want to do surgery if you form what they term as a "mold ball" in your sinuses but most people i spoke to ended up worse with sinus problems after surgery as they were still not killing off the main problem, the fungus. If you have a blockage or tumor it is most likely made of fungus, even cancer is proving to be fungal in nature so try this protocol or a similiar one. Garlic is also antifungal, a little rough on the scent and on your stomach. For my toothache i rubbed "Oil of cloves" on it and if you've ever had a toothache you would not believe how this kills the pain. It would numb it and last for hours, so if you have that symptom it is an excellent answer and also antibacterial and antifungal itself. I think it is the product that kept me from going insane until i could get the answers i needed......hope this helps someone!!! If it does please pass the info along. For some reasons dr's starting treating bacterial and viral infections but excluding fungal infectiona which they used to use nizoral for i believe and fungus had been left to run amuk. Many people are waking up to the answer to their unexplained symptoms and curing them with natural antifungals, some not even realizing why, but most prescription anti fungals are not as useful as they should be as the focus has not been on fungal infections. Good Luck in your search to wellness! I know it took me lots of reading, dr's bills for useless stuff and i just kept trying until i found what worked for me. Earthclinc.com is a very good site for natural cures that work and people write in about their experiences. I learned a lot there and also thru naturalnews.com with Mike Adams, a free newsletter.

I am a 40 yr old male. I have been having pressure in my left ear for over three years. If I open my jaw, it opens up for a second, but then it is the same. It has ever gone away, it feels the same as if I were in an airplane, but only one side mostly. Sometime I get a sensation of liquid in my left ear and a muffled sound in my right. The pressure is painful and the ringing can be intense. The ringing has been really bad this week. The weather has been colder than normal. I have been to three ENT's, an allergist, had a hole punched in my ear drum, had my wisdom teeth removed, acupuncture, massage, chiropractor, and have used nasal spray and a steroid. Also had an MRI, use a occlusal guard(mouth) because I clench my jaw during sleep It feels like a baloon is inflated in my head and the intensity changes throughout the day, doesn't matter is I am at work or relaxing on the couch. I seem to be more sensitive to light It is very distracting and has greatly decreased my quality of life. I also have problem feet, bunions, worse on the left foot, don't know if this could be connected.
I almost have the same symtoms. About five months ago, I had surgery on my ear to have a growth removed. Ever since then I have ringing in my ear. The only problem is, that lately, I have been experiencing sharp pains in my head, that go away almost instantly, and also pressure. I also get these spells where I feel....How do I say this, Kind of out of body. It kind of feels like I am going to pass out. The doctors have looked at my ear, and said it looks fine. It is getting so bad to where I feel miserable most of the day, and I have the hardest time falling asleep at night from the ringing. If anyone has any info, it would be great to hear. Thank you
Constant and throbbing pressure on both sides of my head, ringing in the ears, dizziness and lightheadedness, pain, sometimes nausea, tingling and numbness in extremeties at times. These symptoms are just starting for me. My family Dr. thinks it is Meneir's disease but I am not convinced yet. I am scheduled for an MRI and an appointment with an ENT. For those people who's Dr.s are saying it is anxiety and you are convinced it isn't I say - don't give up. Go see other specialists or get other opinions - it may not be life threatning but having something that is life altering isn't acceptable either. I can't play with my kids, get the daily tasks accomplished, sleep and it inteferes with my work. It could be menier's, Bening intercranial hypertension, acoustic neuromas, allergies, tension headaches, TMJ, sinus infections or tumors. It is worth it fo fight for answers and find a treatment that works for you.... Good luck.
Thanks for the inspiration, Guest. I actually had similar symptoms and it turned out that it was anxiety related, which sounds weird I know, but it did turn out to be the problem. I had no other explainable reason for why I was so sick otherwise. Thanks for posting on it.
i had the same problem. in august has a bad cold five weeks it lasted another 8 week on i have had ear ringing the doc finaly sent me for a ct scan on my brain and sinuses .it show up to be chronic sinusitis .i didnt realy have many symptoms just ringing in ears and sometimes like i was getting a cold, getting up to quick and feeling a little dizzy.he put me on antibiotics.only the second day so will keep u posted if the ringing goes.
Heyy I have same problems. Ringing pressure and roarin sounds in my ears I can only sleep for a few hours and wake up, listenin to the radio drowns ringing sound. I've been to ent, allergist and every hospital possible tried 456789 different meds, ii was told I have no hearing loss. I have bilater tmj with can cause pressure and ringing but dentist said mine isn't that several to cause my ear problems, alleregst said I have vasmotor rhinits which is an unknown allergry that will make my sinus act up, the ent thinks I have meiners disease which kinda fits. Tinntius sucks guys but your not alone. I feel like I'm going crazy I need help... try presondonse a steriod it helped me for a week and then ringing came back.. ringing can increase from caffeinee, certain foods, salt, and anti inflamortys, also sever allergies, and infection. High blood pressure. And stress!!! Mine seems to be worse with stress. Doc also thinks my nerves my be damaged in my ears which cai cause the ringing. I go back to ent Monday email me and we can talk more ur not alone!!
TMJ no fun
Try frying a large quantity of onions in oil. Once it turns brown let it cool and then strain it in some fabric and only put one drop in each ear. It will stop the pain and ringing in ears.
