Hey, I am 22 years of age, been very physically active, been a member of a varsity team for 4 years of university. Currently I am not training, because of what I first thought was concussion symptoms. Ringing in my ears, pressure in my head constantly, head aches that get worse if i am working on school too long. I went from training twice a day, to maybe taking a walk once in a while. I don't drink a lot, and i don't smoke, i eat healthy and was a mentally healthy person.. When i first started to get the ringing ears and pressure in my head I thought it was concussion,, i was experiencing nausea, as time progressed through out periods of returning to sport and exam time with school, I did experience depression, mood swings,, and anxiety, but when I stopped playing sports the depression slowly went away. Positive thinking and support got me a bit better, no more nausea or depression. I found out that if i sleep properly,, making sure my neck was supported either on my side or on my back, i wouldn't get head aches in the morning. but I had an MRI done on my head and neck, any there is nothing wrong with me that they can see. I am in the process of seeing if there is something wrong with my ears. I know stress and anxiety definatly makes it worse but i don't think it is the cause. I don't think it is mercury poisoning because i haven't had a filling in my mouth since i was 12T
The moment he touch my neck was when I knew he was right... LOL
How did your blood work turn out??? I am about to go crazy. Have the lesions too. Symptoms sound like carbon copy. Still do not know the problem. Go to see neuro. Dr. tomorrow.
I have had head pressure and ringing in the back of my skull, been getting gradually worse over 4 years, no pain, but if I wake up during the night, there is no way I can go back to sleep. Had MRI, had a small white circle which the Dr. said was 'probably' an old TIA, not to worry about it, take aspirin at pm. I am waiting for my head to explode, meaning I am expecting to just black out for good. Right now, it is quiet, and the ringing is driving me crazy. Dr. keeps talking about 'Tinnitus' and I keep telling him it has no affect on my ears or hearing. Have arthritis of neck, am wondering if this, along with the anxiety, may be contributing to it. I know I cannot go on like this much longer.
JACKIEFOUGLER: please go see an acupuncturist and herbalist that studied traditional chinese medicine. i currently study this medicine and your symptoms are very common. we treat things of this nature all the time and the way you describe your pain/symptoms is the exact description for our pattern differentials. this is something that could definitely be helped. i dont have enough information to make a diagnosis for you, but from what you said already, it sounds like QI stagnation in your channels (maybe your GB or SJ). EVERYONE ELSE: ear ringing is a symptom of MANY things happening in the body. to try to find ONE reason for it is futile. also, it seems as though everyone is trying to come up with one solid diagnosis as if the groups of similar symptoms you display are all ONE problem/diagnosis. this is a very westernized way of thinking. everyone's body is different, and therefore, even if you have similar symptoms the root cause could be very different from person to person. yes, stress is most likely involved. but it seems as though everyone is also trying to separate the mind and the body as if certain problems stem from the mind and other problems stem from the body. remember that they are intertwined on every level. lastly, many of the symptoms that many of you speak of sound like a condition called "CANDIDA" which is overgrowth of yeast in the gut. this can really cause a lot of problems because the digestive system is a major part of overall health. i really really encourage everyone on here to look into getting treated with TCM (traditional chinese medicine/acupuncture/herbs). it is really effective for many of the problems on this thread and is practiced all around the world.
You are correct! I have suffered from anxiety disorders for a few years now and I have the same symptoms manifesting all at the same time. Anxiety is tricky: it creates symptoms you'd never think to relate to anxiety and as soon as you stop being bothered by that symptom or symptoms, it generates new weird ones that give you a brand new scare. This happens because your brain, wrongfully so, is trying to warn you that you're in danger when you're actually not and if you accept the feeling of the symptom, it goes away. But then a new one appears. Just accept them all as symptoms of anxiety and act as if you didn't have it.
I have the same thing...I call it a barometric headache...every time the barometer changes I get this x10,,,i have it all the time to sleep deprived, forget...intense ringing.....just in the last 2 months have I been diagnosed with pituitary gland disease the tumor is intensifying the ringing by putting pressure on my brain . How is it now?...Have you found the cause?...Is it all the time like mine?
I hope your ok....me too same shite
im 41 and 4 month ago i had an ear infection and that got better now have ringing and muffled in the ear everyday now starting to get pressure by the ear went a specialist and he could not find anything just wondering what it is theres nothing working to make it better
I had the same problem and then removed my head. Seems to have worked
I have had ringing in my ears and intense pressure in my head for 11 months. Additionally, my eyes became very dry and my vision changed more than once in the 11 months. My short-term memory is almost non-existent. My head feels so full all the time.....like my thoughts have to work themselves through sludge to get out. The MRIs were normal, other than a little bit of increase in white matter. Does anyone out there have symptoms like this and.....a solution?
