Developed Pilonidal cyst in 2008 (hereditary and injury on top of that). Got my first surgery in 2012, it was a basic Incision & drainage of the cyst. The incision never healed and use to get infected. Finally found an amazing doctor and got the excision done in 2016. They removed the canal. I exactly dont know which procedure he used but after the surgery the nerve feeling wasnt there and during the healing process there was shooting pain which doctor said was due to nerves growing back. Currently all of sudden i have started getting the pain again when i walk and sit. Tried pressing the area which has scar and it doesnt pain there. so i know it not the scar tissue.
Was reading about nerve entrapment ....does anyone have an idea about the same. Could it be that nerves that gre back are causing the problem??

I have been having the same issue so has my cousin. We both had pilonidal cysts removed a few years ago. Extreme pain when sitting. Especially on bleachers or wooden/hard seats. I was told it is scar tissue from the surgery. Not sure what to do. Know this doesn't really help.
Also in the same boat but only had surgery back in October and only recently have I started getting excruciating pain where the surgery was if any pressure is applied. Looks like it has healed pretty well apart from being red. Still some plasma daily which I require help to clean due to area! Can't go on forever with this pain and its only been about a week! Hopefully a solution is found and we can all be relieved of this pain!
I'm having pain right on my Pilonidal Cyst scar. Is that just a scar tissue or another cyst? I had surgery 6 months ago and I'm having pain right on my scar and it's poofed out.
