I am a 25 year old hemorrhoids suffer and since two months my hemorrhoids gets extremely painful and unbeatable, having pain for almost 12-14 hours after each BM and the painkillers does not really seem to help at all.
Tried all home treatments but it seems that my hemorrhoids are getting worst and worst day by day.
I went to the emergency of the grossmont hospital here in california, and it took them 4 hours to give me a bed not understanding the fact that i have a lot of pain and need an emergency help.
The nurse said that they don't consider Hemorrhoids as an emergency issue so they can do nothing about it, they just gave me some painkillers and asked me to visit my primary doctor to get a referral to a specialist.
I did understand the fact that i need a surgery to get ride of the hemorrhoids and the pain and that is the only remedy. I am new in US so i do not know the process to have a urgent surgery, I went to my primary doctor (since he way the only way to refer me to a specialist) and it took 2 WEEKS to get an appointment with him for a referral. after i get the referral to a specialist I went home and called the specialist office to get an appointment and they told me that the soonest he can is 3 weeks later.
I called my primary doctor again and asked him to refer me to another specialist since this one seemed to be busy and i cannot wait due to pain that i had. It took my primary doctor office about 1 week to refer me to another specialist.
and the new specialist office gave me an appointment for 9 days later (that was the soonest they can do).
And now that i meet the specialist today, he decided to do a coloncopy a WEEK later and based on that he might refer me to a surgeon which will take time maybe another 1-2 WEEKS to get an appointment and another couple of WEEKS to get an appointment for a surgery.
I am having A LOT of pain and i simply can't see myself to be able to wait for all those upcoming weeks to have the surgery, considering that i have already waited for more than 1 month now and my hemorrhoids get so much worst.
Any suggestion? Please note that a normal surgery in my own country takes 2-3 days to be done and an urgent surgery almost the same day. I am not sure what the heck is going on here in US.

I'd suggest you make an appointment with a surgeon in your own country, and then fly back to your country a couple of days prior to the surgery. It takes less than a day to fly back anyway, and should definitely be faster than waiting for all those appointments.
