Swimming is an amazing exercise, and a great way to loose weight and tone up without hurting your body. When I was younger, I was a little chunky. My mom pushed me to join the swim team that practiced in the indoor pool at the local gym, and although it was hard at first, it definitely paid off. I'm 15, and I have the body I hoped to acquire. It not only tightens your stomach, but it gets rid of fat on your arms and legs and it tones your butt as well. I highly recommend giving it a try

hello , i am also 12 years old .. my mom is a person who works with people to lose weight. as i can see you are in a very tough place. but don't be upset , you're not doing anything wrong . just try excercising (or however you spell it) a little more . who cares what those girls think , and if you are embarassed about trying a sport or whatever do your excersizes at home . run around the neighborhood for a while. do crutches (sit ups). everything will be okay ! just put a lot of hard work into it . you're beautiful don't forget

If u have any animals u can take them for running so u can lose weight and have fun it is very fun for me I am in the same situation and its proven that the colder it is the easier it is to lose weight I am almost 13 and weigh 120lb so times I get made fun of but idc wat they think of me but some times I get mad and hurt the person

I have the exact same prob. I also weigh the same. 130. 54 pounds. But, I run every other day with my brother and I also eat lots of fruits. My mom stopped buying all that junk food So that also helps. I know when see that food u really like and ur just thinking I really want some of that, i know that feeling. It drives me nuts! What I do is just not eat as much of the junk foods. U can eat junk foods sometimes but not all the time. Oh and drink water instead of like coke or something. U don't have to always drink water, but most of the time try to. I know losing weight is hard especially at 12, because we r going into our teen years. Just excercise and eat as healthy as u can!

I know exactly where ur coming from im 13 and i weigh like 194 pounds DX and i hate it but to be honest ive actually lost weight cuz i made a diet plan for myself c: andit worked the trick is to just eat healthy food in moderation :/ dont over eat and do some exercise every morning and avoid sweets for good :/ u could eat a healthy choice of breakfast and alot of fruits and water... thats kinda it :/ and i lost 70 pounds last year cuz of this xD

I'm 14 now and I had the same problem when I was twelve. what I found that helped me lose 15 lbs in my first year is to count your calories. I found this app called "myfitnesspal" and it really helps you keep track of what your eating. If you are trying to lose weight you should start of with a goal of 1800 calories a day and lower your goal as you go. Don't set your goal any lower then 1200 calories bcuz that is not a healthy goal. With the app, tracking what u eat is really easy bcuz u can just scan the barcode on the box of what u ate and it done! I hoped this helped and stay positive! Losing weight won't happen over night!!

Listen! I'm 14 and honestly at age 12 I weighed 125 pounds and that's also when I started relizing I needed to work out. Your not going to get results by doing ten sit ups or 5 crunches. You have to WORK FOR IT! I know that word Work sucks but I started running and at first I hated and then I loved it! It became a habit and an addiction to work out and every day after school I hit the gym. Stay away from junk food. For breakfast I eat oatmeal or Greek yogurt and fruit and it's very filling and is very healthy to this day I weigh 102 pounds and am mostly muscle and abs

I know how you feel. I am almost 13 and I weigh 132 pounds ( give or take ), and recently I noticed how much I weighed. I was horrified. I wasn't worried about looks, I was worried about my health. I started exercising and eating healthier. I exercise in short spurts about twice a day for about 15-30 minutes each, and a twenty minute walk here and there. I am also eating healthier. I haven't drunk soda for about a month, and I don't miss it. I actually enjoy this, because I keep telling myself, "keep this up and you'll be a model in no time!" I know its absurd, but it makes me excited to get there more. It can be fun, too- 90% of my exercising is playing Just Dance all day. Once you start exercising you'll be excited to get to your goal and you won't want to stop. I have MyFitnessPal, and it is a calorie log. It seems like a pain, and I was never the type to keep up with things like that, but if you're determined you'll follow through. I eat about 1200 calories a day with at least 30 minutes of exercising. It doesn't seem like too much to eat, but it actually allows you a lot of snacks and filling meals. You won't be disappointed. THey also have a blog that has good workouts and tasty recipes. It is for 18+, but that didn't stop me. Trust me, when you start telling yourself, "Keep this up and you'll look like a model!", you'll be excited to exercise , not dreading it. I've been at it for a little over two weeks now and I've lost about 3 pounds. It isn't much, but I feel more energized. It also helps to join a sport outside of school or P.E and dance in school. ( I am in dance first period) Don't dread it. Look forward to it! Pretty soon, you'll wonder how you ever lived with yourself beforehand.

Hi i am only 12 and i weigh 165. my mom always naggs me and i lose the confidence to do anything about losing the weight. my friends make jokes about myweight even though im smart and it is very hurtful. i have so much homework when i get home and i dont have time to exercise and my mom always cooks jamaican food so its hard to lose weight. Has all hope been lost and if not what can i do plz im deperate and my friend is having a late birthday party on july 30 and i dont know if i can go from 160lbs to 130 or 124 and wear a two piece to the beach plzzz help me

Boys are silly always, you just need to give it time. Your only 12! You will get through this just try to eat less. For example: FAST FOOD, and JUNK FOOD. You will get through this.
