Well im almost 13 years old too and ive tried anything in my power to lose my weight.im in sixth grade. I cried myself to sleep everyday for 52days straight because I thought of myself as a failure. For all of those that say to excercise and have a good diet in me telling you right now it is not that easy.i don't know what to do. None of my clothes seem to look on me and I just feel like I'm trapped...there's no where to go......I'm trapped...........forever

To the young ladies, please be careful about weight loss.  It is good that you want to get healthy but there is no quick fix.   It is incredibly hard to loose weight at any age.  It is really easy to say eat right and exercise.  I am overweight and unfortunately so is my 13 year old son so I do understand where you are coming from.

First and foremost talk to your parents.  If your mom is nagging you about your weight then she should be open to a discussion about it.  If you aren't comfortable talking to a parent, try your school counselor or nurse.

As far as any weight loss tips I think the best thing is to focus on your health and not your weight.  The 2 go hand in hand but if you just focus on weight you may make decisions that aren't feasible for the long run.  Of course there are the usual things to:  don't drink pop, not even diet pop, and limit juice intake.  It is amazing how many calories that cuts out and it also cuts back sodium which helps get rid of excess water weight.  It also means you should be drinking more water.  Also don't starve yourself, it leads to more problems than solutions.  Try to watch your portions and opt for healthier snacks.  As far as excerise goes, time management is always an issue.  Start small if you have to, a quick 5-10 minute walk immediately after school won't take to much of your time.  As you become accustomed to it, you can lengthen it and it will become part of your routine. So it won't seem like it is eating up all your time.

There is some good news.  Since you are young it will be much easier for you to loose weight than a 30-40 year old.  It also means that you develop healthier habits sooner rather than later.

I really hope the best for you.  And please do not let your weight define who you are, because you are so much more than you can possibly imagine

You r not fat no matter what size and if a guy doesn't like u for u and cares about the size than he is stupid because I bet u r beautiful and I know how u feel I am about the same size but this amazing guy likes me for my heart not my size and he is hot

Look keep eating but you need to control what you eat....eat 3-4 times a day and a lot of water and don't forgeT to exercise

Since your twelve, always have a plan on what your eating and what kind of exercise. When I was twelve I would always run five blocks everyday so my conditioning for soccer can be good and it has. Always drink water no matter what. Stay in shape and you will be find. Plus you're going through puberty so its normal.

Im almost 13 and im 215 ibs. I dont like being the way i am I lost so many things this past year and if i loose at least 40 ibs I'd be happier The kid on The Fat Boy Chornicals is only 188 ibs and is 14 and im almost 13. I dont know how to do it i just want some help.

Yes it does I was like 175 and know I'm 148 and I lose a lot and I'm still try to lose more and how did I lose it really quick I didn't eat anything only water that's it

Dude you are 84 pounds that is average I am 130 and I am almost 13 but I am also 5 foot 3 inches so it balances out.

I'm almost 13 and I'm only a tiny bit overweight. I'm 115 pounds and even though that seems pretty light on th outside I look fat and ppl make fun of me. I want to lose 15 pounds and get to 100 so by this summer I can go to beach and be able to go sh*tless with out nobody making fun of me

Dood it's probaly just muscle if u do that many sports u wouldn't be fat so don't worry it's probaly just muscle.
