I suck at running. I just do. I play soccer and joined cross country (usually about 2-3 miles 3x/wk). I am 13, 8th grade, 5'6 and a ridiculous 150 lbs. I'm much worse than all my friends who eat and are active the same way i am but have trouble losing weight rather than gaining it. My diet is approximately as follows: wheat toast w/ pb&j at breakfast, w/e is at school for lunch (pizza, chicken nuggets etc., w/ chocolate milk). After school I either have frozen burritos or tuna w/ mayo on wheat bread or something, but i find myself walking to my neighborhood party store and buying some nutty bars or pop tarts more often than i would like. If i have cross country that day, i wll have no snack after school, but gorge myself on the same things described above. Sometimes dinner is regular homecooked food (pot roast, spaghetti, etc.) or sometimes more burritos or tuna or other frozen food. My "body fat anlyzer scale" says like 24%?. My mom says im about to have a growth spurt. Is that it? Is it body type? How can i lose weight?????? im desperate
If you cut out the rubbish; pizza, chicken nuggets, chocolate milk, nuttybars and pop tarts and snack on fruit you would be making a good start.

Mum is probally right in that you are going through spurt. Girls generally enter their growth spurt a couple years earlier than males and it usually lasts around 2.5 to 3 years.
Stick with Mum's home cooking. Mum's usually have a good idea about balanced diets and gradually in crease your exersise. It dosen't have to be just running, anything that will elevate your heart rate over your exersise period. Just make it a regular; say 30minutes 5 days per week.
Just one more thought, 8 to 10 hours sleep is important while your body is growing
