ever since I slipped and fell last January, I've had trouble getting back into training. I get in a few runs, then I fall apart. I lift, then I quit doing that. I've made a plan to get back onto track. My goal is now this: workout in some way at least 3x per week for a minimum of 20 minutes each session. the workout can be weights, or it can be on the elliptical. (no running thanks to the spurs on the achilles) I've already met that goal for last week, and I've got a good start on this week ( I lifted weights for about 30 minutes today.) I've decided that I should do this for the next 6 weeks. now the big question: how should I reward myself? I'm thinking electronics, and something that is at least $100. but I'm not limited to just electronics. got any suggestions for me?

I think $100.00 in electronics sounds reasonable for the 6 week period if you can afford it. It's hard to get back into a routine once you're out of it. Maybe rewarding yourself will help you meet your goal.

yeah, but what should I buy myself?

I think a good reward system is something that encourages you to keep working out, maybe something you could use while working out? Do you have an mp3 player? How about a new pair of running shoes or some good high tech apparel? If you're doing weights, how about a bench and set of weights for at home?

I think you could feel the reward of being a generous soul and give me the $100.

I'd get $100 worth of Spam.

But then, I'd tell that to anyone, no matter what the accomplishment was.
