I have had bells palsy for a year now. After 4 months it went away and then 4 months later it slightly came back. Its noticeable when i yawn or drink from a straw. I dont think theres any real treatment other than time. Much love to people who have had this for years, i pray someday they find a cure.

I came down with BP 3/4/2017. It will be six months this Labor Day weekend. My go to person has been my chiropractor. In addition, I started acupuncture and physical therapy. It is getting better, I realize this is not the end of the world but certainly very frustrating for me.

Thank you for these encouraging words. I am on week 5 after having shingles and now the bells palsy. I feel the same way as you, but to be honest today was a rough coping day. I really needed to read your comment any remind myself to stay positive as I go back to work on Monday. Blessings

I seem to have contracted Bell's palsy after a flue shot that went into sniffles and then an ear infection. I received the antiviral medication and anti inflammatory drugs but at the same time I started Acupuncture and this helped a lot with the distortion of my face and it seemed to help my face muscles. I also did face massages with castor oil. Right now I seemed to have fully recover except for the occasional twitching off and on. This usually happens with the cold and wind.

I am 53 with Bells for the past 5 weeks. So frustrated! It does make you evaluate what makes you happy and what determines your happiness for sure! Life lesson. Just praying this goes away!

I'm on my third case of Bell's, it has reoccurred over the course of 40 years! The first time I had it it took 9 months to go away on it's own. The second case was about 12 years ago where it came back while I was at work. I am now 68 years old and this reoccurrence happened on 7/5/19 when I woke up with it. There is no cure for it, surgery is extremely risky and no one knows why we get it. Everything is speculation plain and simple, and all treatments are a c**p shoot. GOOD LUCK FOLKS
