I've never heard of anyone getting rid of this condition so yours has a happy ending. Well done.
I have had Fordyce spots for around the past 10 years. Like someone else mentioned on the previous page, I started taking roacutane for acne and my fordyce spots have also almost completely disappeared 1 month in to a 6 month course. Roacutane dries out the skin by reducing the activity of sebaceous glands. It appears to have the happy side effect of shrinking fordyce spots, which are little collections of sebum under the skin produced by sebaceous glands with no pore for the sebum to escape from. So I suppose it makes sense.
Roacutane has to be prescribed by a dermatologist in the uk and requires a few blood tests to monitor liver function and lipids while taking it. A dermatologist wouldn't prescribe it for Fordyce spots but if you happen to have acne aswell I would recommend asking to try roacutane if you are bothered about your first ever spots.
There are a few online 'pharmacies' selling roacutane without a prescription but I wouldn't recommend gambling with that unless you are desperate and have researched dose, side effects, legitimacy of the 'pharmacy' etc.
I hope someone finds this helpful as I have been bothered with this for years. I also had clusters of tiny white spots on my foreskin and a few around the meatus. These have also almost completely disappeared. I'm delighted!!
Fordyce spots are totally normal and harmless.... even women have them. I suggest you focus more on the overall health and function of your penis. This organ needs vitamins and nutrients to thrive, and using a penis health creme like Man1 Man Oil will deliver several of them directly into the penis skin. It will help in a number of ways.. check it out.
Thanks I'm 13 and I was really scared buto you made me realize that they aren't a disease thank you so much.
