I know this is really old, but who did you see in Rochester, NY that believes in hyperkinetic gallbladder? I can't seem to find a surgeon willing to do the surgery.

Surgery went well. It's been almost 2 weeks & I feel like I have got my life back! My symptoms are gone for the most part. The only thing is, if I eat a really fatty meal my stomach hurts a little & I have diarrhea but I'll take that any day over what I had been going thru before surgery. I would do it all over again! If anyone needs a surgeon in the DC area who believes In hyperactive gallbladder let me know.

Could you pls refer me to the doctor you saw in DC. I have had RUQ pain for 6 months along with chills, nauseous and loud noises in my stomach after I eat, bloating and buring pain in my stomach, and worsen GERD. HIDA Scan showed 98% EF which GI doc said was good. MRCP showed distended GB and dilated CBD but no stones. Endo showed cheonic gastritis and esophogitist. Scared to have GB removed if the problem is from something else like Spincter of Oddi. I need to find someone in the DC area that is familiar with these symptoms. Thanks!

Hi guys!

I'm having very similar issues las Gloria. All happened 3 years ago after eating a very greasy meal... Since then my issue is nausea after eating almost everything. All I can have is bread and some rice. :( I had endoscopy (shows chemical gastropathy that could be caused by bile), gastric emptying, manometry, Bravo test. HIDA scan showed 98% EF! which is very high to me.
My gastroenterologist said that he doesn't know about "high ejection fractions".
Maybe you know a doctor in NYC or even New Jersey who is more knowledgeable. I feel awful for 3 years not being able to eat normal food.
Many thanks!!!

Gloria thank goodness you posted this, I was beginning to lose all hope. My dr told me that my results were normal at 92%. I was so happy to read that there may be a light at the end of this tunnel. Unfortunately the center is closed til monday. But I now have a step can take. Over the last month everyone has just pushed me off on someone else. Very frustrating!

I know this post is several years old. I am having a difficult time getting into see Dr. Schwartz as they say I would need to have a referral from another doctor to see the GI specialist. The general GI doctor has said my EF of 96% is fine but I don’t feel that way. Thanks in advance if you have any suggestions.

Anyone know of a surgeon in the Greensboro NC area that believes in the hyperkinetic gallbladder with an EF 97 with all the symptoms to remove the gallbladder? My current GI MD believes this is normal. I need help! Thanks!
