I'm 20 and the problem has been happening to me for years.  I've found that men's deodorant works WAY better than women's deodorant.  Now, I recognize that you don't want to smell like man's deodorant, but try smelling the different kinds.  I generally use Axe Phoenix or a mint scented one, because they are pretty neutral smells.
I may go talk to my doctor about drysol, though.  I totally understand how frustrating it is.

I am forty three years old and I have been having the same embarrasing sweating issue since I was in middle school. I am a nervous person and by me sweating is a way for my body to release tension. I talked to my dermatologist and he recommended Certain Dry, available at most big chain pharmacies. Some pharmacies have it behind their counter and you have to ask for it. I sweat bad on my feet and underarms. He stressed to me that when I used the Certain Dry after showering to make sure my arm pits and feet were completely dry before applying. Yes he said to also use it on my feet. I did exactly what he said and it worked for me for my feet and underarms. I did find that it worked better if I used it at night before bed instead of in the morning. My underarms were sweating so much that other people could see it running down from my armpits to my elbow....very embarrassing. I hope this helps you all because I know how you feel.

Oh my gosh i have the same exact problem. I'm 13 and my excessive sweating problem just happened last year! It would be in the middle of class in the winter and ill raise my hand and realise i have this pit stain- it willl go through my sweatshirt and my t-shirt too! I've tried so many anti-perspirents. I'm embarrassed to be around my friends because i only sweat around my friends or in school or with a lot of people. But when i go home its alllll fine. It's so stressful and makes my self-confidence go down about a whole lot...

to anybody that has a health question, see your doctor. people on these websites often aren't given enough information to support their answers, and most of the time these answers are only available in a prescription, or a considerable amount of life-style change, so you're really wasting your time here if you have a health question. if you're an Australian resident you can call 13-HEALTH and speak to a registered nurse who will ask the correct questions, and if a prescription is not required, will be able to give you as good advice as a doctor can. i'm sure the US, Canada, and most English speaking countries would have a similar health hotline to use. i would suggest finding out if you do and memorising their phone number. also if you have a local, walk-in, medical centre, just go their and suck up the wait. posting here, you're not likely going to get a correct answer.

I am 15 years old and i have the same problem! Doesn't matter whether it's the middle of winter, i still sweat a lot! and i live in canada, which is a cold place! But i found what helps is when you go out and when you go to school, carry deodorant with you. and when you start to sweat, go to the bathroom, find a tissue or something wipe up the sweat and re-apply your deodorant! Also use some body mist or perfume if you find yourself starting to smell bad. I carry around deodorant and perfume with me, wherever i go just in case! And also, i find that using men's deodorant works better than ladies, because typically men sweat more than girls. So i find a men's deodorant that is odor-free and use that (: It really helps. If the problem is still occuring, you should probably go talk to a doctor, and see what they say. Also, try not to think about yourself sweating a lot, or else you're just gonna start sweating more! Trust me, i knoww!

And don't be afraid to tell your mom or dad about it! They can probably give you some tips too (: Hope this helps!

I had this problem for years! I would either wear tank tops or black shirts every day just because I didn't want people to notice. I tried everything, the secret stuff, the degree stuff. Nothing would work! When I got my first job I even applied somewhere that had a black shirt as the uniform. However, a couple years into that I got a promotion to a blue shirt and my first few days were awful because I felt like everyone was looking at my sweat stains...and this isn't a job where you can keep your arms down! What finally worked for me was usng that certain dry stuff at night and then using the  Mitchum gel deoderant in the morning. If I just use one or the other, I still sweat. But if I use them together it's taken away about 95% of the problem. I still sweat sometimes but it's no where near as bad as it used to be. A word of caution though, the certain dry gave me a rash a couple of times, but if I stopped using it the sweat comes back. I ended up buying hydrocortizone cream to put on the rash so I could keep using certain dry. Anyways, I just wanted to throw out a possible soloution to anyone with this problem from someone who has been there.

Drysol, Perspirex, Driclor solution etc are all anti perspirant which can be bought off the counter, some are common to the US & others to the UK. Anhydrol Forte, Odaban, Zeasorb etc are others which help with strong perspiration.

If you sweat a lot, carry some nice scented wet wipes and always have your anti Perspirant with you. Wipe yourself clean in the toilet with wet wipes, dry yourself with some tissue and the apply one of these. Use the product at night and then in the morning if it is really bad. Depending on which product you choose, read the instruction. Try and keep away from roll on as they tend to make you sweat more as they are wet to start with.

Everyone sweats, some hide it better than others. Change to different ones if you find one isn't working but keep your old one, your armpit may indeed adapt. Sanex is another good brand but only used in conjunction with one of the above. I'm 40, female, have kids and suffered same for years but have learnt to get on with it and stay fresh and calm. I use two of the above intermittently and have remained less sweaty but very slim. I think high metabolism, self confidence or lack of it and diet (eating spicy food even) may contribute.

You should never smell if you do the above, I am always told I smell lovely, I dab myself with talc powder at night (they don't help in the day), right after I have applied Driclor or one of the above mentioned and can go weeks without sweating!

For the teen girls, if anyone asks, just say you sweat more when you are on your period, all humans sweat, and if you're a guy just say its cos you're all man!

My doctor says he should know as a lot of people come to him with similar problems. Talk to your doctor in confidence, tell them how it affects your life and demand they help you if all of the above hasn't worked for you. If you have found the above helpful, click the thumbs up sign so others are encouraged to read it and good luck guys, you are not alone!

Well first off people it is much easier to dehydrate yourself when it is not hot ,as we tend to drink a lot less water.Living in AZ I know as only have a sweat problem in the winter..Also people with smelly arm pits need deodorant ,if you have sweaty arm pits you need a good antiperspirant. For those with both ,they make a formulas with the two combined.

If all fails best bet is to see your doc for a Drysol prescription.

It happens to me too!!! What I do is I wear two shirts or if I'm sitting I spread my arms so it'll dry out but make sure it's not noticeable I also carry deodorant with me and an extra shirt because I leave sweat stains in my shirts and I'm in shape also. If you're in class sometimes I act like I was stretching and I blow out onto them
