I have a 24 day cycle. I stated all the info In the other paragraph. I took a ultra sound at 8wks 1 day. I measured 8w2days.my lmp was 10/9 had sex with boyfriend almost every day up til the 28th. Had sex with other guy 10/30.period didn't show up I tested 11/13 it was a bold line.went 4 ultrasound at 8w1day I measured 8w2days.due date 7/16.went 4 ultrasound at 16w2days. Measusured 16w5days.no due date change they said it matched my LMP. Period in July was 731.august 823.september 917.october 1010.so who's the father? Thank u

The information needs clarifying, but it seems unlikely you would have been fertile on 30 Oct.

"Period in July was 731.august 823.september 917.october 1010" Yet you said: "my lmp was 10/9"

  • 31 Jul 17 to 23 Aug 17 = 23 days
  • 23 Aug 17 to 17 Sep 17 = 25 days
  • 17 Sep 17 to 10 Oct 17 = 23 days

That gives an average of about 24 days

If LMP had been 9 Oct, then the last cycle would have been 22 days and the average would have been about 23 days.

That would all point to conception probably occurring between 18th and 21st October.

The due date (probably based on LMP) of 16 Jul 2018 would suggest conception occurred 23 Oct.

So altogether the possible conception dates range from 18th to 23rd October 2017, at least a week before your activity on 30th October.

(You quoted scan dates as 8w1d & 16w2d without giving the actual dates)

Scan 4 8w1day was 12/5.131 16w2days scan. My lmp was 1010. But when i went 2 8w1day scan they told me i was a day off.they said lmp was 10/9.do u need any other info? Who is the father thank u

I went to womans choice 2 take pregancy test at the end of November. I took home test 11/13. At womans choice I told them my LMP was 1010 which I'm sure it was.due date 717.when I went 4 ultrasound 12/5 They told me i was a day off.telling me my lmp was 10/9. They made date of 716.when I went in 21 scan. I had a 3d ultrasound. The baby looks like my boyfriend

You are being given some strange information! You know when your LMP started, and they cannot tell. What they should be able to tell you is how old the foetus is, and so determine the due date. The follicular phase may vary; the luteal doesn't. 40 weeks before 17 July 2018 is 10 October 2017. The day different doesn't really matter. From their calculations, you would have conceived on 23 October. My calculations would put it a day or two earlier with the due date a day or two earlier. But whichever is correct, you were not likely to have been fertile on 30 October (it would mean a cycle of at least 34 days). That being the case, you could not be pregnant from sex on that day. So that obviously means your bf is the likely father.

N maybe since my cycle is shorter. I ovulate earlier than the 14 days on a 28 day cycle.

The earlier the scan, the more accurate it is likely to be. Also, a transvaginal scan is more accurate. Baby's tend to grow at a similar rate in the first trimester, but as time passes, the rate of growth varies. Were your scans done similarly, at the same place and by the same sonographer? The due date (and conception date) are estimated by measurements taken.

That is true. You would ovulate a fortnight before a period would be due (more accurately, a period comes 14 days after ovulation if not pregnant).
So, with a 24-day cycle, you would ovulate on CycleDay 10. Your cycle has varied from 23-25 days form the 4 dates you gave me.
The extra 3 days is closer to my estimation.

What do u mean when u say fortnight? And the ultra SOUNDs were by 2 different places. When I had my scan at 21weeks they found my son has an enlarged heart. So I go back again on the 15th for another hour long scan.and the 8w nd 16 week were done similar but by different people n places. My main doctor just checks the heart beat n measures my uterus

From what you have said, the second scan on 31st Jan seems the most accurate. The 3 extra days is because you probably were heading for a 25-day cycle, which is 3 days shorter than the assumed average 28-day cycle. Your Aug/Sep cycle was 25 days, so I will assume your Oct/Nov cycle was going to be the same.

  • "Fortnight" means "a two week period" = 14 days. It comes from an 'Old English' equivalent of 'fourteen nights'. Ovulation Day (OD) would be 14 days before the end of your 'cycle' (C)
  1. LMP + C - 14 = OD » 9-Oct-2017 + 25 - 14 days = 20-Oct-2017 (OD)
  2. Due Date (DD) = 38 weeks (266 days) from conception (OD)
  3. OD + 266 = DD » 20-Oct-2017 + 266 days = 13-Jul-2018 (DD)

Scan Results often assume a 40 week (280 days) gestation as they are often linked to LMP for an assumed 28-day cycle

  1. Your Scan Date (SD) was 31-Jan-2018 and showed 16 weeks 5 days = 117 days. That leaves 163 days (280 - 117) to the Due Date (DD).
  2. SD + 163 = DD » 31-Jan-2018 + 163 days = 13-Jul-2018 (DD)

Your "16-week" scan is only actually 14 weeks from conception.

By seeing how u broke it down there's no way it could the other guys baby. Only person I was with during those dates were my boyfriend. Thank you so much ur the best.and it all makes so much sense why the measurements are coming out to the way they are

He says that I wasn’t complaining of being sore down there and that we “tried” sex that night but when I try to get info he sh**s down and says he doesn’t want too talk about it. It’s a valuable lesson I learned too not drink outside your means and stay with female friends!! My baby is kicking and I just hope all ends well xx
