Okay, so I am a 16-year old who hasn't been circumcised. Recently I wasn't sure if i was the only one with skin over my penis, and to make sure i wasn't alone I started to research. However, I found that even if your not circumcised you should be able to pull your skin back behind your helmet. I also read that you have to clean that out. So I am worried because I have never known you can pull it back, and I'm really scared to try. My skin around my head is really tight but I reckon i could pull it back if i tried, but i really don't want to risk it incase it goes badly. At my age should the skin just come back or do i need to force it?
Hey there not bring able to retract your foreskin is quite common especially in kids your age and younger.... What happens to your foreskin when you ge an erection? Does it hurt? Can you see your glans (helmate) at all ?
Just try it and see how it goes. You have control over your own hands, if it starts to hurt ---- stop. If it's tight you need to stretch it. You can do that by pulling it back to where it becomes tight and holding it there for a few minutes. Keep doing that as often as you have time and you will notice it will go back further as time goes on. It may be easier to do that when you have an erection for obvious reasons and certainly the objective is to be able to pull it back when you do have an erection. Another way is to insert two fingers in the tip and pull them apart to stretch it, same rules about if it hurts.
There are many who say you should not be able to pull it back until you are about 16 but I do not believe that theory. I think that happens because your mother didn't begin pulling it back to wash it when you were a baby. My mother always pulled mine back from the time she brought me home from the hospital because her doctor told her to. I have never had a problem pulling mine back and I feel it's because she did that. If there are adhesions as some claim I think they are a result of NOT pulling it back, not because you are born with them and have to wait for them to go away at 16.
I'll give it a go tommorow in the shower. But I can see it ending in blood and horror. Also would it be okay if I just do it as fast as possible not think about the pain doing it slowly and just get it over with?
Touching it may feel quite uncomfortable if you have never touched the bare glans before but it should not HURT.
As for the sensitivity, mine was quite sensitive also which was a problem during sex and foreplay. It was not comfortable when my GF or later my wife was handling it if she touched the bare glans. I decided to fix that by baring it and touching it myself until it no longer was a problem. I reasoned that circumcised guys glans were not sensitive which must be due to it being bared and forced to be touched by everything that came near it so I should be able to do that with mine and it worked.
Being able to bare it and handle it without any discomfort is much better than having to be careful of it all the time and is certainly more enjoyable during sex so you might want to keep trying. Mine was also tight when I grew up and it hurt if it was caught behind the head when I got an erection. That's when I decided to stretch it more so it would retract comfortably. It does work and from my viewpoint it's a lot better when it can be retracted easily and comfortably.
