I've been having the exact same problem. I only eat once a day now, when i come home from school cause it's too embarressing. I drink a cup of hot water after i eat to help my metabolism work which relieves ALOT of the pain. I went to a doctor and he was useless and basically said my metabolism isn't capable of breaking down food well but i've worked on it and not much has changed.
I am a 22 year old female, weighing 120, and 5'5" tall, and I've suffered from this nearly every day since I was 6. I've never boon to a doctor about it because I always assumed it was just a sensitive stomach. Lately I've been trying to follow the Atkins diet, as well as not eating, Gluten, Yeast or White Sugar. This has helped me A LOT! I still get the stomachaches, but now it's only occasional. I hope this helps!!
I had the similar problem, I have been taking probiotic yogurt and also Kefir. I don't have that problem anymore. I have normal bowel movement in the morning. I can't praise probiot
I have been having this same problem. I am a 43 year old female. My usual weight is 160 but have not been able to get under 170. This week I gained about 6-8lbs. I burp alot have a lot of gas. Sometimes the burp has a bad taste or smell to it. I have been having problems with bowl movements. The pain is sometime so severe I am cramping and basically constipated. I end up having to take a lacsitve and even after I can finally go #2 I am still in pain. That only realives it for a few days. I feel the more weight I have gained or try to lose weight. The more it brings it on. I get heartburn. It is a very uncomfortable feeling. Really sick of feeling like this. The Bloating is so uncomfortable antacides only help for a brief moment doesn't cure it. I don't drink soda's or beer. It doesn't matter what I eat or drink the end result is this sick feeling. I am not always like this but when I do get the feeling it does last a few days to a few weeks. That Bacteria thing sounds right.
I have had these symptoms for years - and finally after going to alot of doctors and tests - I am GLUTEN INTOLERANT. The Celiac test will come back negative because you are not 100% Celiac but you could be gluten intolerant. The best way to find out is to give it one month of eating gluten free foods. You may not feel 100% better but you will feel the difference- as each day goes by you will start to feel better. Eliminate all dairy too and fats. Eat fresh fruit and vegetables and plain chicken or fish. Hamburger is the absolute worst because of the fat content. It takes about 1 year for your body to heal itself from the damage that gluten caused to your intestines. It is now 4 years and I can say I do feel better. There was a time that I could not go out- shopping or restaurants unless I knew where the bathrooms were - it was a living hell. I still worry- but as long as I stick to my gluten free diet I am fine. The only problem you will have is eating out- as no restaurant will be gluten free so you will have to make sure they understand that you have a food allergy and will get very sick if you eat the wrong thing. Give yourself a few months and really try to stick to gluten free foods. Udi's makes the best bread, Glutino makes the best cookies = and alot of places even Betty Crocker sell cake mixes that are gluten free. Read every label as gluten is hidden in alot of foods -like salad dressings. Many labels are now saying gluten free. If you are not sure - don't buy it and call the company. I stick to plain fresh foods and nothing processed and have not missed out on anything. You have nothing to lose but to feel better!!
The gluten allergy test is not reliable. The only way to know for sure is to have an endoscopy and the doctor will take a small sample of your small intestine and send it to a lab. Also, if you are using your regular GP you may not be getting the attention you need. Find a good GI doctor.
i hope you get better:-)
I have the same symptom and was diagnosed with IBS (irritable bowel syndrome) which is aggravated by stress. But I wouldn't call mine stomach pain but severe stomach ache, bloating, gas after I eat constipation, sometimes diarrhea, and nausea. I'm having an episode that's lasted several weeks now.
