I got hormonal pills to regulate my irregular periods, but 3 weeks later I still don't have it

I am a virgin...but my periods r not regular and doctor gave me harmone pills...after 21 days completed i am not getting my periods...is it is anything serious with my uterus system...or does this pills effect in future on my body...??
