I am 26 and my husband is 23 and we have only really been trying to have a baby for one cycle. We were intimate around and during my ovulation which was around the 11th. For one week I have been overly emotional, my breasts have been sore and super sensitive, my stomach has been bloated, my lower back has been very achy. I have had frequent headaches, I have been experiencing light to moderate cramping, and I am exhausted all the time. I cannot get enough to eat and I have to pee all the time. The gas starts around noon, and I have not been eating anything out of the ordinary (sandwich, fruit, etc.). I have never had this many issues before my period. I am 5 days away from my supposed period. Has anyone experienced these symptoms before finding out you're pregnant? Please let me know what you think.
I started my period today....
Is it so far what you are used to with your period? Same kind of blood, cramps, etc.
I suggest having as much sex as possible to up your chances of conception, sperm can live up to 5 days in the cervix waiting for one the floaties that pop by. Be patient and the more relaxed you are the better your chances are as well. After sex, lay in bed and don't move, don't clean yourself, and just relax for at least a .5 hour, this gives the sperm the chance to make its way down to your cervix before you get up and momentum causes it move out of vagina and out. Pee gets rid of a lot of sperm but not all which is why just rest after for as long as you can without finding you need to clean yourself.
If either of you are smoking that affects your fertility so you should try to quit, both of you. Eat healthy. Be a healthy weight, if you are underweight your body will likely not become pregnant as it knows it can't carry a baby to full term healthy enough.
Hope this helps and good luck
Thank you so much for your reply. We are doing most you say, but the smoking is an issue for us both. The period this month is light, but this is just the first day. I am so confused seeing as I have never ever experienced all the pain and weird stuff going on with my body in the past week, to week and a half, as I did this time around. I must mention that my husband just came back from Afghanistan, on April 11th, and I haven't had sex since he left (of course). Maybe that is the explanation for my body acting oddly this cycle?
If you try for a year and don't succeed than take yourselves down to the fertility clinic to get tested. I know people who smoked for ages and went on to get pregnant, so it affects it but by how much no one knows right? My husband and I smoke weed and have for 20 or so years (give or take) and we have a healthy beautiful 2.5 year old girl but it did take me a long time to get pregnant. Mind you I never was on birth control and we only used the pull out method and became more sloppy and started coming inside of me (it's my favorite to feel the pulsing of the penis inside you is awesome) and low and behold we got pregnant. So like I say, just keep having sex and more sex, if you enjoy it anyways bonus for the both of you. Don't make it a chore though, you'll take all the romance out of it.
