Sounds like you broke your hymen. You should be okay, I think. Just put on a pad and wait for it to stop. Take your friend's advise and just wait for it to stop, unless it REALLY bleeds and continues to the next day.

As for the bleeding. No that is not normal. You should definately seek Medical Attention ASAP. Losing your viginity should not make that much bleeding.
As for lost Virginity. Just because your hymen breaks that does not mean that you have lost your V-Card. Many athletes break there hymen due to how active they are. You only lose your virginity if you actually have vaginal penetration. That does not count using a hair brush. It has to be a penis.

Your Hymenoptera can break from a number of things but that doesn't mean you've lost your virginity. You only lose the v card once you've had sex. For example I broke my hymen via horse riding and my friend broke hers when someone took out her balancing foot when she performed a high kick.
