I also have same issue where I feel tingling sensation in my testicles after working for about hour or so. I tried using pillow but same problem after couple of hours. I just Google and found this site. I thought I should share this on this blog as well.

I seem to have solved this problem by putting a laptop fan under my computer so that it does not heat up. I no longer get the leg pain that the heat seemed to be causing, but I still work hours a day on my lap with my computer.

Until today, I hadn't made the connection between my laptop and the complaints I've been having for the last weeks: a burning sensation in my lower abdomen that spreads to my prostate and testicles (or sometimes the other way around) and sometimes can give me a tingling sensation in my hands and feet. I have just had my blood and urine tests done so I cannot blame it on any kind of infection. Once I read many of the posts over here, things make better sense. Thank you all for sharing your stories. I will use a table, and not my lap, to put my laptop on for a couple of days and will update you with the results.

As promised, I'm back. 3 days without the laptop on my lap and my complaints and symptoms are totally gone. Wow.

THANK YOU, LORD! I was getting really depressed about the horrible numbness, aching, tingling, and weakness in my legs that developed over the last several months. My first clue that my new MacBook Air was causing all of this was that it got MUCH WORSE when I laid in bed one evening and put it on my thighs. After about 15 minutes, all of those horrible sensations MAGNIFIED. Over these months, I have been vaguely aware that I haven't had any problems with this at work. Well, I use a Dell Laptop at work. I have only ever had this problem since I purchased this MacBook Air. Never with any other laptops: not an HP Laptop, not a Sony Laptop, and not the Dell Laptop. When all of this began, I had never used my MacBook Air on my thighs. I had always used it at my desk made of pine, about one foot above my lap. It was THAT FAR away from my thighs, separated by a one-inch layer of pine. So, thank you, to all of you who posted your experience on here. You helped me confirm my suspicions and you eased my mind. Do not use your laptop on your lap or while you are in bed..if you do buy one of these small wooden  lap tables you can use for your lap on or on your bed. The wood won't allow any heat escape and get in your body. Still, is not good to use a lap top for many hours. I know is hard now a days when we use our laptops for everything..but the risks are not worth it..specially for young people.
I was stupid enough to use my laptop in the evening in bed for an hour or more every day. i started noticing my left side of my abdomen getting hot from it..but i ignored it because i was enjoying making my videos...and even when i used a pillow the heat still reached my left leg and lower abdomen. Now i have serious health problems and all on the left side. Do not use the lap top near your body...you could have many health problems like i have now.

Well I've asked around about this and it seems many people out there doesn't think it's possible when they should know putting a hot pc on your body is going to make your body react.  How can DR and pc experts not know this?  I got a reddish new bump
on my right leg which wasn't near the hard drive which is the hottest area.  This red spot or mole turn out to be precancerous.
I havn't laid in the sun for years now and ever since I got this notebook pc, I get this bump.  For 4 months I used pc on lap or stomach and then decided to get a lap fan but soon after that a year later, I get a bump.  I felt pricks with the fan and b4 with just the pc.  So I'm sure pc caused my problem and I had spasms also in upper back legs for several months.  I put the pc on lap fan then on another hard surface b4 putting on my bed or table.  I no longer have spasms but need the bump cut out since freezing it off didn't work.

There is a program for Apple laptop computers you can download call SMC Fan Control, this program allows you to speed up your fan and keep your laptop cooler.

I have a similar experience: my MacBook Air causes a slight pain in my left testicle after having used it for 10-15 minutes, especially if I have it in my lap.

To make this thread more focused, we should exclude all problems that are due to the heat. My laptop doesn't get war, yet I feel the pain. It's something else.

Then, those posting should state what laptop computer they are using and in what position.

I am very sensitive to electromagnetic radiation. I can physically feel the Wifi signal coming from my laptop and my Android smart phone. I can usually feel the outlets and other electronic devices nearby, but the Wifi signal is really strong. It sometimes overstimulates my intestines, and I have to go to the bathroom right away. I have tried many different arrangements, such as putting the computer on a desktop, and using boards and racks to raise the computer off my lap, but it still messes with my body, though not as aggressively as it does when the computer is directly on my lap.

I believe what is happening is that the radiation is inducing a small current in my tissues, and the tingling, vibratory sensations, and organ responces are my body's way of expelling that excess electrical charge. I don't think there is any effective way to shield yourself short of building a faraday cage around your electronics, making them pretty much useless.

The long-term health effects are probably not good, and it wouldn't shock me to learn that such exposure could lead to cancerous growths. I'm not about to stop using my laptop, though.

Someone really needs to do an extensive investigation.

I posted to this topic three months ago and want to give an update. My symptoms got worse. Even though I always used my MacBook Air at a desk and not in my lap, my thighs above my knees would get HOT and HURT. And my face would get really droopy and stressed looking-- like I had the flu. I was tired all the time. I felt terrible. My feet thumped the floor when I got up in the morning. (My feet thumping the floor was the first symptom I had.) Understand that my MacBook Air did NOT get hot. Neither did the the desk or the air underneath the desk. I was literally being cooked like a chicken in a microwave. Have you ever noticed that the air inside a microwave doesn't get hot? Evidently, the EMF emitting from my MacBook Air has detrimental effects on flesh and blood and bones.

So, hoping that I was merely unfortunate and was handed a bad MacBook Air when I made my purchase at the Apple store, I decided to purchase a used MacBook Pro-- same problem although the symptoms aren't as severe. Even my iPhone makes my thighs hurt.

I had a benign tumor taken out of my leg above my left knee when I was 8 and again when I was 26 because it grew back. I'm 43 now and lately I've noticed sharp pains in that area. I am greatly concerned; I don't know if the EMF could cause any remaining tumor cells to turn to cancer. Evidently, when a benign tumor is removed, there's no guarantee that all of the tumor cells are removed as it grew back in my leg after 16 years. (I was 24 when I noticed that the tumor grew back. And it was probably growing back long before I noticed.)

I tried an EMF shield and got some relief but not enough to relieve the discomfort.

EMF is NO JOKE. Get a desktop computer and avoid wireless anything as much as possible. You can live without it.

Remember, Steve Jobs died of CANCER.

I am 19 years old and I am so glad i found this site! I have been dealing with abdomen pain for about a week and half now it is constant it comes and goes, but gets worse when I use my laptop. My dad just told me tonight when I was my laptop that my stomach pain could be coming from my laptop and after reading all of these posts about others having the same issues i am having i think he is right! I cannot not use my laptop for a few days because i take online school classes, but i will keep it on a counter or desktop from now on when i use it and see it my stomach/abdomen pain subsides. Thanks for posting this everyone! :)
