I have a lump too, just above my left clavicle. My doctor will just feel it and will not say anything or recommend any further check on it. But he said that the neck area is very delicate because it has too many, tissues, if I remember correctrly. Mine started about 3 years ago.It's now a bit achy like arthritic pain. Does not bother me but is worrisome.

You need a phissiotherapy and a counserler for that and a relaxing massage for stress too
Hi, it seems like the majority of you have tight scalenes/ tender point at the trapezius/scalene muscles. Massage can help as can OTC pain relievers or topicals like salonpas. You would likely benefit from physical therapy as well. Causes for this include strain which can be work related or from holding a heavy bag or from posture (sleep position, way you sit at a desk etc). Obviously if you're having constitutional symptoms like fevers, weight loss etc, that may be more concerning for something like a malignancy. But from what the majority are describing sounds like a tender point. Hope that helps!
I no I'm late responding but icame across this article causr i to suffer with lumps thatf orm on my shoulders. But i no my comes when im stressed or if i over work my shoulder. Its mainly from stress. I normally go get a full massage and the lumps disappear or if i cant afford the massage i use muscle rub for like two three days try to relax and it eventually go away. Some People carry stress on their shoulders literally. It Can also be that when you sleep on pillows you add strain to your neck and shoulders. The muscle isc contracted and needs heat to relax it. I have been having this issue for a year and now it's debilitating. I can barely walk or move it hurts to sit lay down walk breath. I went to the er several times the gave me steroids and muscle relaxers that didn't work. The doctor couldn't help and the er is tired of seeing me. I went got a massage no relief. Going to chiropractor today hope that helps. This is getting costly and have been out of work. I cry at home alone. I can barely get to the store I can't drive cause I can't turn my head. I am on natraul supplements which helped my lower but my upper right shoulder blade neck and trap are unbearable. I pray everyday for a little relief. I'm hoping the chiropractic today. Got my x-rays yesterday I will update everyone on my journey on how we can alleviate the pain without pain pills muscle relaxers etc.
I have the same non attractive lump. My Dr said it was fatty tissue. I figure its another plus to add to my menapause. I have gained a little weight, and I am 55. I noticed it 2 yrs ago. Diesnt hurt, so I dont worry.
Hi my name Donna on 3'-22-2014 passed out lost Hearing in my right ear completely cancer with the tie open 2014 with other guys between my neck and clavicle area . Ben 10 Thomas catering bad thing you were all wrapped up in there they go to my arms and that's why I have like a chest pain in my back of mine shoulder and my arm constant , and I can remove the tumor because it's all wrapped around my nerves my arm and it's pinching the blood that goes to my ear that's why I lost my hearing. It was size of a thumbnail now the size of a golf ball I have so much pain and have tendonitis and vertical what makes you dizzy and sick and how to walk with a cane and I have Dr. Appointment on 20th of this month to find out what they're going to do about it because it's been 2 years and now it's actually getting worse I think. I think they're afraid to take it out butt I can't use my right arm anymore and I've already lost Ear hearing I'm just afraid of getting something that's going to press on the big blood vein and cause me to have a stroke so if anybody else has heard anything else like this help please
Hi. I have the same exact story. I have untreatable Rheumatoid Arthritis and when I have a flare up mine enlarges and is tender around it along with right scapula pain. My dr told me itnis a lymph node...inflamed due to my immune disease.
You sound like you've been reading to much. That's what my doctor told me when I went to him because I have the same lump. He told me not to worry about it. Now it's three months later the lump on my shoulder is still there. Now I have another lump on the front of my neck. I noticed it one day while I was brushing my hair. My son took me out for Mother's Day and he took pictures. As I was smiling I couldn't help notice this huge lump. Now what?

Hi, my bofreind has a lump on the right side of his back below his collar bone the same size as yours. He was also doing strenuous work he hopes that's what its from. He said he felt like he sprained his shoulder a week ago then a few days later he got that lump. I just wanted to let you know your not alone .

I have a lump that has been steadily coming up on my right shoulder and am under a lot of stress at the present and have been working out with push ups and arm curls. I am 69 and going slow at it and am going to the doctor tomorrow 9/29/16. I believe you have answered my question. I had not thought about the stress but realize you may have the answer.

I just noticed this golf ball or Larger shaped mass on my elbow, that was Not there last night. I feel no pain from it at all. But it's ugly and weird and I want it gone. It's squishy as if someone put a gel ball beneath my skin. Does anyone know what the hell this is? And how can something grow so large overnight out of nowhere?? If anyone would like to share phone numbers and pictures of the lump, I Will be finding out what the heck it is! I Do have insurance.
