Colonascopies arent painful. they knock you out for those
Omg DO NOT PANIC! I have paniced before. FIist chect to see if the whole stool is red. If it is, is it pinkish? That means it's probably beets or food coloring. If there are splotches, are they bright red or dark red? Light red indicates a hemmorhoid. Hemmorhoids are cause by the in largement of the veins located near you anus. They heal on their own but can be painful. It will probably hurt when you poo. Dark red is very very serious if found in your stool. It could mean internal bleeding in your stomach or worse... cancer. Do not worry this is rare. Once I had chinese food. The next day there was blood in my stool. Which reminds me, blood in stool can also be food poisoning such as ecoli and salmonella. You will probably have nausea if you have food poisoning. DO NOT FORGET TO TELL YOUR DOCTOR!!! Your poop is helpful in determing you health. Cheers! :!:
I am 17 and I have blood in my stool also I've gone to the doctor twice already but they just say the same thing that it's just a bacteria probably so not even she knows what it is it started again but I'm just going to wait to see if it'll go away because my doctor did no help at all!
Uhm. I'm 10 and I only pooped blood about 2 minutes ago...
I'm a male, aged 19.
I've had problems for just over a year where I've mainly been pooing blood. Sometimes stool comes out too but it is mostly blood. It's a really dark red and it happens pretty much every time I go for a #2. Truth be told it scares the Hell out of me, I've been so worried I might have some kind of cancer (I know it sounds dramatic but it's still a worry) but after snooping around the internet it's starting to look like an infection in my intestines or stomach.
I'm going to go to the doctors as soon as I have a free moment and I encourage you all to do the same. At times it does seem embarrassing but it is a problem and it is in your best interest to get it solved as soon as you can.
I hope all you guys and girls are okay.
im a 12 year old male and i also pooped out blood in my poop i belive there is a leak in the body so call ur dr and make an appointement as soon as possible
This comment is directed to the person who commented about the blood that felt like diarrhea.
You need to see a doctor asap. That is not normal at all and if its not Hemroids it could be more life threatening. The basic basic rule in medicine is the
sooner you catch the issue, the better chances you have of fixing it so get that checked, don't wait.

I feel so late replying to this. But I'm 17, male. And i just had the same thing that happened to me a few days ago. Blood in my stool. But I talked to my coach who is a colorguard instructor and me being the only male in the guard she told me that I've worked myself/practiced way too much. Lifting girls and catching them when they jump on me and from the fact that I'm tossing a rifle 20 feet in the air, all that work created strains down there causing minor cuts or slits and possibly popping a vein. I'm still in high school and I love what I'm doing and I hope this doesn't stop me from doing what I love. My coach told me that the same happened to her in her senior year in high school. She was of course attempting to toss a rifle 20 feet in the air and aside from that she was lifting weights to have the muscles to toss the rifle. So males in high school, I suggest you keep doing what you want/love to do. But be cautious and mindful that there is a tear down there and whether it heals or not you'll most likely have it for the rest of your life like my coach. Which I'll probably have too. It won't be an everyday thing but just once in a while where you see blood in the toilet.
I am fifteen ive got the same problem but i am afraid of going to the hospital because it will effect my military career. Please tell me if this is normal
See a doctor. Get a colonoscopy. I had it done 4 years ago, the doctor biopsied my ileum, found lymphoma cells. Turns out I had NHL(non-Hodgkins). As it was caught early, I was treated with Rituxan, no Tumors now, am in complete and total remission. Do not wait.
Well I have crohns and thats is happening to me at the moment, for me it is a clear indication of abscesses in my bowel.
seek medical attention as it could be IBS, crohns or stress related, blood in stool is also often attributed to bowel cancer.
i am female and 13, its only happened to me twice, and i dont want to tell anyone unless its serious? is it serious?
