Hi I had the implanon removed on April 3rd 2013 after having it for three years. I was on my period when it was removed and haven't had a period since. I was so relieved to be off the implanon soince it killed my sex drive I had crazy mood swings and I was always depressed or tired. Things are much better now lol. Except since not having my period I've been having crampon spotted a little then stopped a day later I'm more interested in different foods now which is weird because I'm a picky eater. I've taken two pregnancy tests that have came out negative. I'm just wondering how long I should wait before taking another one because I'm having a few pregnancy symptoms (and I should know because i have two children) if anyone has any feedback it would be greatly appreciated!

Hi, my name is Megan. I am currently on Implanon but I am having it removed in a few days. I came on here to see what other people have experienced so I can prepare myself for the worst. Ive been on Implanon for 2 years now but here lately it have caused me some major issues. Anyway, I was reading comments on how people are experiencing pregnancy like symptoms but when they take a test it comes back neg. From what I have learned from Implanon is that the drug inside the Implant will cause a negative reading on any home test. and as long as your period is abnormal the drug is still within you causing for a negative reading every time on any home test. my suggestion is that if you really are worried about being pregnant you make an appointment with your OBGYN to have an ultra sound done. but other than that knowing what others have experienced has been very helpful. thank you

Hi I'm hoping someone can give me some light at the end of the tunnel. I got my implanon removed 7/24/13 and its now 10/13/13 and I've not had a period not any spotting I've taken numerous pregnancy tests my most recent one was on 10/10/13 and all have been negative! I'm getting very irritated because before my implanon my cycle was very regular and now my body has been so screwed up :( has anyone else been waiting this long for AF to return?

I'm having the same issues. Had mine removed 9/13/2013 period started 9/18/2013 ended 3 days later after being heavy. Started last week having stomach pains, cramps, sore breasts (not full like) and exhaustion. Waiting for period to still arrive again. Should I test or wait another week?
Also we weren't using protection before removal, didn't have sex while on period, and no protection two days after period. We have been using withdrawal method otherwise. Should I wait it out or test?
Yes I wish I they would have told me about all the side effects and possibly side effects before I got on it. I'm like a rabbid dog!! I just want to rip someones throat out, I get extremely frustrated and angry soooo easily, I have horrible mood swings, I literally thought I was going crazy for a few months after I got it too. I gained 40+ pounds within 3 months after getting it and despite diet and exercise, can't lose a single pound. And a year after I got it I thought I was pregnant.. even though I hadn't had sex... but I was getting the kicking sensations like you do when you're 4 or 5 months pregnant and severe abdominal pain. All pregnancy tests were negative though. But getting the Implanon was one of the WORST mistakes of my life... I'm still suffering from this stupid ass thing. Warn all the females out there you know, DO NOT GET THE IMPLANON!!!!!
Hey guys, I'm having totally similiar symptoms! I had mine in for 6 monlths and It did not agree with me at all, but because I suffered from depression before, they tried to say I was just prone to it (depression) this was at 3 monlths of using it, I went everywhere I went to gum, doctors I even tried to remove it myself! (Crazy, I know) but 3 monlths later I went to clinic I had to travel to, and they took it out. The night I had it removed I had intercourse and the condom split, but I think we saved it. I came on my period two days later.
First it's started quiet light, then it become more heavy, I was on for about 4 days, it was bright red, but I have had soar nipples for a few days now, stomach pain and watery discharge, I don't think I'm pregnant, because I've read afew feed back off other resources and a couple of people have mentioned it's took them nearly upto several months to concieve. I really want a baby, but at the same time not to get my hopes up. I haven't done a pregnancy test because I. Don't want to waste time.
Any advice would be lovely, or if you'd like to know abit more, just ask.

I am only seventeen but was put on the implanon as a last option to helping with lengthy and painful periods.now convieniently enough after about 6 months it stopped working and I had it removed.
I had sex for the first time about a week after it's removal, we used protection and everything, but lately I have felt nauseous, my tummy just feels out of sorts and sometime painful, I get exhausted but I do have hypothyroidism so that is expected.
My nipples are crazy sore, and I actually got excited thinking maybe it was my long awaited period. But it still hasn't come. I'm really worried.
I cant answer your question, but I am deffinaty thinking of consulting a doctor. Maybe that's our only option.

hi i am also planing to get pregnant sins 25-7-2010 i had mine removed 25 Feb 2010. i have not used any prtc and stil we are waiting we have done every test we could if are be people who get pregnant after 3 years implant let me kno please. when i got the my implant first and was last 3 years. me and my husband are now compliantly ready to be parents, i would never have done it that implant if i knew the disaster we are going true me and my family. if any of you lady's have had this problem or you are specialist please help me and give me advise
with us is it not working to get pregnant i was also 2 before pregnant before i had the implant in my arm, we wan get pregnant so bad we have try more then 3 years already
