i agree with the last post except for the part about how long sperm can stay inside a woman, i am a nurse and sperm can only survive inside a woman's body for at most 24hr because a woman's vaginal area is the most volatile place for sperm that is why there is only about a 20% chance for a woman to conceive when she is ovulating, and even less of a chance when she is not. The bacteria in a woman's vagina kill most sperm only seconds after it is deployed into the vaginal area.

As for the young 15yr old, the woman is right, at your age your body is not fully developed in that particular area. Hints as to why young woman are statistically more prone to miscarriages and other more serious problems, than a fully developed adult. So taking all the precautions at that age is very crucial.

I know this post is over a year ago, but i have just had a miscarriage after desperately trying fo a baby and now I have started to try again! A blood test is the best way to go it can measure exactly the HCG level, its how they found out I was starting to miscarry as it was 4 when they took itand it had to be 5 to classed as positive it fell to below 1 in 5 days resulting in a miscarriage i had 1 another last wk and it was still below 1 so I know I havent caught this month. The result from the blood test in a non pregnant women should be around -3 well below 0. if its 1-5 it is result of a miscarriage or the start of pregnancy it will be tested again 2-3 days after and anything over 5 is a confirmed pregnancy but will normally be followed up 2 by another blood test to make sure its doubling!

I finished my last active pill on 15th June, had my "period" for 5days then started spotting a few days after for around 4/5 days, since then I've had bleeding and more brown discharge. I did 6 pregnancy tests today and about half had a faint positive. I've not taken my pill since I stopped on the 15th. Is there a chance I could be pregnant? I know it sounds like a silly question but I've been on the pill while I've been sexually active with my boyfriend (nearly 2 years) and I'm not sure if the bleeding is affecting the outcome of the hpt? Any help would be great! Thanks in advance

ept usually detects 5 days early before your missed period you should be good i think

I agree, I'm so glad someone said it! implantation has to happen inorder for a pregnancy test to detect HCG so its best to test atleast 3 days after, or atleast a week after just to be sure.

Hey, I'm 7 days late for my period and my tests are still negative.. Today I thought I got my period... went to the toilet and when I wiped there was a little pinkish blood! I got a tampon in and went about my day... then I take it out and nothing on it but a tiny spot... my periods are usually very heavy from the 1st day so I waited all day long and now when I wipe there is nothing and nothing on tampon either,... I read a little on sited like these that suggested that could of been an implantation bleed, in which case... should I wait 3 more days and take a test? I'm asking you because you seem to know what your talking about. Lol

Instead of defending 15 year olds having sex, maybe you should go get an education first. THEN you can try to make a case.

A few pointers:
*You need at least one, but usually two spaces after each "."
*There should be a "," after the word "Sorry"
*Sentences should begin with capital letters
*"u" is not a word. The correct word is "you"
*Learn the difference between "there", "their", and "they're"
*"all ready" should be "already" (It's just one word.)
*You're missing a few words in sentences for them to make sense
*"dont" needs an apostrophe: "don't"

Your grammar is absolutely atrocious and something to be ashamed of or AT LEAST embarrassed about.

hey my period wasn't due for 11 more days when i started bleeding but it didn't look like my regular period. it was brownish pink and kind of mucousy. That only happened for half a day. the next day i started bleeding again but it was bright red. then that too stopped over night. now today i woke up and there was no blood until i went to the bathroom and there was blood again. i also have mild cramping under my belly button and sharp pains in my left breast for a week now. i went to the doctors today and got a blood pregnancy test because i thought it was implantation bleeding. the test came back negative. do you think maybe i went too soon for the test? or any ideas what else it could be??

Some of you women are so ignorant...yea maybe 15 is a bit to young but in this society it isn't "uncommon" to have sex at a young age. I swear you guys act like you guys weren't horn dogs at that age...and now you're on this stupid site trying to see if you can't get pregnant. Stop being haters...you want children..well that's someone's child.

Hi! I know its been 8 months since you posted but could you update what happened? Were you pregnant? I'm having the same problem only difference is I lost my son almost 9 weeks ago, due to IC. I wasn't trying this time but I've had one regular period since the birth. And now according to my normal 28 day cycle, I'm a week late but negative pregnancy tests. If my hormones changed and it made it a 35 day cycle then it is probably implantation bleeding this time but I do not know for sure. I haven't had an irregular period since I was 15, I am now 24. Please post back and let me know how it went! I will search the further posts to see if you did and I just simply missed it. :)

It's not really 2 weeks after your period. It's 14 days from the start of your last period. I always found that confusing. Sperm can live a few days. If in doubt go to the pharmacy or planned patenthood for the Plan B pill. 15 is too young and you may not be pregnant but it will bring your period on.
