I am a 30 years old, male and I have a problem that I do not know how to get rid. My problem is that the skin covering my testicles is moderately hairy. Why I am saying this is that occasionally I get an ingrown hair on testicles. I have no friends with the same or similar experience so I am worried a little bit. Could it be sign there is something else wrong with me.
I am not a doctor so I cannot say exactly what your problem is. I also doubt doctor could say it online with so little info you gave and without physical exam. That is why I think you could visit your physician if that condition does not improve in a few days. Until then, I would like to tell you I had similar experience. I have noticed ingrown hair on my testicles maybe last month. After a while, it appears as very small, white bump. It is a very rare occurrence, and happening constantly since the age of 18. I have just squeezed it lightly to get rid of it, and all this time I was thinking it was ingrown hair on testicles. The same as I do the white bumps that appear on my neck after I shave. However, last one started to grow and I could not squeeze it, so I visited my doctor. He told me it is something else, explaining that cysts on the scrotum are quite common. He said it was not as I thought ingrown hair this time, but a cyst. They are hard and white and sometimes white material comes out if you squeeze them, so you can make a difference between those and ingrown hair on testicles.
exfoliate and keep it clean - also moisturize
About five years ago I found growth (nipper) on the under side of my tesicles slack. Not knowing what it was I went to the Doctor and asked. My Doctor advised me not to worry, that he could pop it. Being a chicken s--t about needle, I told no and went home. Now five years later that same growth (nipper) is about the size (wide) of the tip of my little finger and maybe about an inch long. My Doctor now say that he is unsure what it is and send me to a Specialist, who advised me that is a ingrown hair. Because of the size I have out patience surgery. Removable went well no pain during or now two weeks later, but now I have a large (the size of my little finger) pocket on my slack. Sure hope that go away.
I tell this story in hope that men reading it won't wait long periods of time before removing these. Plan on stay home about two week, you need to wear baggie clothing, but don't wait.
Dear T,
Ingrown hairs can be caused by simple friction, so I assure you nothing is wrong with you. Keeping the area dry, with a products like Fresh Balls, and if you do manscape, try a shaver like the Hair eRazor. It's foil blade combination that keeps skin smooth and hair free without irritation.
