Prostatitis is what you have.

Hello, I will share my story here in the hopes this will help somebody else. I have the same symptoms and problems. I was diagnosed with Lichen planus (candida) a yeast infection. It was very strange my penis became a sandy rough like surface. The doctor will try to put you on pills, but I will tell you right now the only way to cure this is diet. Even now that I have cured myself the remnants of extreme prostate inflammation still occur almost regularly, especially after ejaculation. I have found I cannot ejaculate without being in extreme amounts of discomfort for 1-5 days. After which the pain subsides (generally). I try to go as long as I can without ejaculating and the pain leaves but then I get built up and have a wet dream and even those bring back my pain. I feel like this is my punishment for excessive masturbation in my youth. God have mercy. hope this helps somebody. I feel like this is something we will have to deal with for life. Even if I do not have sex for a year I feel like the pain will still come back. Luckily this is something that can be avoided with proper restraint, so we will all have to work on restraining ourselves, unfortunately.

Hi Jen, how exactly do your symptoms manifest themselves? I find myself on this thread once again, because i feel completely baffled by my symptoms. If i ejaculate, it can take up to 7, 8, or 9 days for the pain to reach its peak. Then, it usually starts to subside.. I've gone down the pudendal neuralgia route, and i started taking nortriptyline about a week ago. So too early to tell if thats gona work yet. I just can't see how a physiological inflammatory response can take so long to come on.... Its doing my head in trying to fathom it out. I'm beginning to wonder if its a self-fulfilling prophecy, i ejaculate, and wait of the pain onset. And sure enough, it does come.... EVERY time!! Good luck everyone...

then I am in trouble, because I can barely make it a day without a release or I am climbing the walls. I am a healthy 52 year-old, so I am going to try just drinking water (no coffee or sodas or alcohol) and go on a liquid diet for a while

Hi guys, well we all have some kind of similar problems wich affects our life, i did major invastigation over the internet and the things we all must to do is to investigate next things: STD test,UTI test, do TRUS of prostate(transrectal ultrasound), try to found neurologist specialized in that area who can see if u have some nerve entrapment, avoid sitting on cold places, avoid spicy food, alchohol, cigarettes, coffee and in my case marijuana cause i felt better and than after just few hits my symptoms all come back, it is important to walk, jog any kind of cardio that cant hurt or irritate(walking is best i think...most safe). And for the end, you must be persistent in this and if your urologist tells u that u have prostatitis, dont just reconcile with it and do full investigation...its only way. I m on beggining of this hell and i m ready to fight with it, next week will go to see neurologist and do the scan of nervus  pudendus, will keep u updated

Im 36 yr. old male, i drink about 6 bottles of water a day and few beers of the night. My problem is 24 hrs after i ejaculate i then have pains in pelvic area lasting for 12-24 hrs or beyond, pain worsens to how many times I masturbate. I have seen a gastro, and urologist several times. I've had colonoscopy and CT scan done and taken antibiotics such as Flagyl, Cipro, and now Bactrim DS. Over the last 6 months. Also for the last 90 days ive been taking saw palmetto and flomax and elmiron for what i at some point thought was interstitial cystitis, and still am pissing 2 streams every time I start to pee. Ive been tested for STDs and celiac disease . I also get diarrhea if i ejaculate offen and pinching sensation in bladder area which also gets inflammed after excessive masturbation. I used to masturbate 1-2 times daily, then i stopped for about 3 days and suddenly i got to feeling normal which lasted 3 -4 days then i get turned on and need to ejaculate again, 24 hrs Later - thats when bad symptoms come back of pain and discomfort in pelvic area and hip area and sometimes kidney area too (LOWER BACK) . I have been testing this theory out for 3 months and my urologist is stumped, i tell him that 12-24 hrs after i ejaculate i have discomfort in pelvic area that last for few hrs to couple days. This has been going on for years now. I need suggestions. ..

It never heal. It would only get worse as we are aging. The solution is stop doing it (in terms of years, not days, weeks or months). Let the prostate rests completely. Let wet dreams happen.

Hey guys, if you are having persistent penis, bladder, and prostate and/or pelvic pain and have had bad luck with clueless GPs and urologists, find a gay urologist in your area, even if you aren't gay. Gay MDs have zero issues talking about your sexual habits, no matter how excessive, and they are generally more empathetic and will take your pain seriously. And they won't cruise you, so get over that. Also, don't self-diagnose.
OK, here's the deal. Despite what the Internet will tell you, excessive masturbation is not harmless, especially if you are "edging" for long periods or using penis rings. (I fell into the habit of doing both).
For the past 6 months I have experienced mild pain in the last inch of my urethra and hypersensitivity of the underside of the mouth of my penis head, and increasingly persistent bladder pain. Pissing actually felt soothing, and I never had pain when ejaculating, only a few hours after, and never had any weird anal pain.
After three wrong diagnoses, I finally went to see an "out" gay GP, to whom I was totally honest about the edging and penis rings, and a seemingly gay urologist. I had a cystoscopy and they found that my prostate was enlarged (due to aging) and urine wasn't fully clearing from my bladder, causing bladder irritation, which coffee seemed to worsen. The gay GP said, OK, good to know, but that my edging had caused everything down there to be stimulated for long periods of time and I needed to give it all a rest, as in zero stroking and cumming (and also to switch to a dye and fragrance free clothing detergent.)
Well, in one week my penis was back to normal. Unfortunately, my bladder isn't yet back to normal. If I edge or just masturbate more than two days in a row I start to get dull bladder pain that lasts for hours. 800 mg of Ibuprofen helps a bit, but not that much. I am now on generic Flomax, which is supposed to relax the muscles and reduce the bladder irritation, but despite the fact that the urologist said that masturbation didn't cause all these symptoms, the gay GP believes that it complicated everything. He has suggested that I stop the stroking and cumming for a longer period to let my pelvic region settle down, and if the situation with my bladder doesn't improve, that I may need to moderate or seriously moderate my sex habits forever. Hopefully, I discovered the problem soon enough that this isn't a lifelong struggle and I haven't caused permanent damage. It took me six months of being stupidly excessive to land here, it's going to take more that a week of abstinence to resolve it, unfortunately, ;-).
But here's the good news guys, everyday that you stop masturbating it gets easier not to. And since knowledge is power, now that I know that there is nothing crazy bad with me, there is a lot less fear when the pain starts. Fear and unknowing always makes pain worse. Good luck, and tell your buddies to go easy on the stroking. And prepare yourself for aging. It's not for wimps.

I have exactly the same symptoms and after 6 months of tests and three MDs was finally diagnosed by a young male GP with so- called "reverse blue balls" from too much edging, and after a cyscostomy by a urologist, an enlarged prostate (normal for my age). I notice that guys replying here have been diagnosed with weird stuff like nerve damage, interestial cycstitis, yeast infections, and non-infections prostatitis. I feel for those guys, if that is really the problem, but it is likely that if you are negative for STDs and have penis discomfort and persistent prostate/bladder pain, especially after sex, that you simply need to ease up on the sex for a few weeks. Plus, I notice that lots of the guys replylng here see women MDs. Women MDs are terrific, but I have learned the hard way (no pun intended) that if I am having issues with my genitalia and pelvic region, to see a male physician, especially if I suspect that my sex habits are part of the problem. And you don't need to see a urologist. Those guys are all totally type A and major busy, and they see mostly older guys with serious prostate problems, not younger guys who might simply be having too much sex. A young male urology PA-C (physician's assistant), or a young male GP is the best way to go, or at least start. Younger male physicians understand the way things are these days. (Think free porn.) Also, when I finally got totally honest about my sexual habits with the my young GP, he nailed the diagnosis immediately. I was embarrassed disclosing, but he stopped me and said, "Look, I am not here to judge you, so tell me the truth. I see guys all the time who are ejaculating many times a day and edging to porn for hours." Simply put, the combination of my normally enlarged prostate and months of edging caused everything down there got out of balance (reverse of blue balls). I am now on generic Flomax for the enlarged prostate and under doctor's orders to stop, or go very easy on the masturbation and sex for some time. He can't say how long I need to be celibate or very moderate, but I now know that some of us just don't have the body for too much of a good thing. Good luck guys.

Have had sim experience. Here's the deal, all men's bodies aren't created equally. Some guys can have tons of sex without problems (or so they say) and some of us can't. Some guys never get colds, and some of us get lots of them. It's just the way it is. And as we get older, things down there don't perform like the used to. Since you have been tested, the best thing is to accept that this is just how your body works. I wish I was 6'4", but, alas, I am only 5'11". And, think for a minute about the pain that women go through with their periods each month, and all the other bad stuff that happens to them in their pelvic region and breasts. I am not being disrespectful here, I feel for you and have been there, but at a certain point one needs to just surrender to the way it is and move on. I am trying to do that, with limited success. Best of luck to you.

I have also been suffering from the same symptoms. This is the second or maybe third time in my life that I have suffered from this illness. Originally in my 20s I think that I suffered from a "stressed" prostate. Then, I had no symptoms for 10 years and then it returned in my 30s. And, then just recently, I am suffering again. Each time I was prescribed Cipro, multiple times. Cipro alleviated the symptoms and so I thought it was working. However, as soon as I stopped the symptoms would mysteriously appear again after a couple of weeks. I now know that it was the anti-inflammatory properties of Cipro (similar to taking Advil) that was helping me. Each time my symptoms eventually went away and I was good for ten years, or so.

My symptoms were lower abdominal discomfort. I would feel an irritation in my genitals. I didn't have burning when I urinated, but dull burning all the time. Sitting in the car on the way home was the absolute worse. It was so bad that I could not sleep. All you could do was pace until the pain went down enough to fall asleep. It felt better to put a warm heat back on my lower abdomin. It was difficult to start to urinate and then would dribble pee after going to the washroom. Then, there was always the feeling to have to urinate all the time, but not really having to pee.

I only recently associated the discomfort with ejaculation. Until then, it was a mystery as to why I felt bad, even on anti-biotics. But, sure enough the day after an ejaculation, the irritation would return. Now, after three bouts of "prostititis", I don't have any answers for anyone. But, wanted to post some suggestions and if anyone can confirm or deny if this helps them, then maybe I can help.

Firstly, if you have symptoms you have to make sure that it is not a UTI or bacterial infection. But after that, and if you associate your irritation with the day after an ejaculation, then avoid masturbation for as long as possible. This will help the prostate recover from whatever is causing the irritation. If you do masturbate, try in the morning and then pee right after. I have a theory that late night masturbation and then sleeping on your back allows the remaining semen in your body to cause the irritation. So, masturbate in the morning. Make sure you pee right after and then go take a shower. Maybe that will solve the problem on its own. If you have sex at night, make sure you at least pee right after.

Avoid coffee and soda. Drink a lot of unsweetened cranberry juice. You can also try cranberry pills and vitamins called Super Prostate from Weber. I only started taking these and I can't tell you if they have any effect. Also, I heard that pot makes it worse as well, but I don't smoke so, I cannot confirm this, but avoiding pot smoking may also help.

If you do feel bad, take a double dose of ibuprofen and apply a heat pad to your abdomin. You can also sit in a very, very, very hot bath for 3 hours. Bring in the iPad and watch your favorite episodes on Netflix.

If anyone finds these suggestions helpful, then post here and maybe we can help each other. Lord knows that the urologists don't have any answers.

Had similar symptoms. Lasted about 2 years. Turns out I had an infection in the lining of my intestine that in turn passed to prostate. Was also told pain was in my head. Had to have surgery to fix it. Fairly normal now.

I have had similar symptoms. Try sitting in a Tub of hot water and allow the abdomen to get the warmth. You will feel relieved. I have treid Diclofenac. It works in emergency. Anti Inflammatory drugs like Nucoxia 60 has worked. I suggest Ayurvedic treatment. I have felt that whenever I have consumed Beer, I have had this irritation. I have stopped Beer. Sitting for a long time creates pressure on the prostrate region. Avoid sitting for long... example driving or office. Hope this helps.
