I have a purple-ish coloured lump (around the size of a pea) on/in my anus. It is firm to the touch, but it does not cause any problems, nor is it itchy, painful (while defecating or not) or has it ever bled.
I noticed it a few days ago, and I'm wondering what it is.
I'm only 15-- but I spend a lot of the time sitting down (home-taught). I have a rather stressful life, due to my mental health problems.
Now; what do you think it is? I haven't the slightest clue. i don't particulary want to go to the doctors about it-- but depending on what it is, I might have to.

Sounds like Hemorrhoids to me. Sometimes they hurt, sometimes they don't. I have UC and when I start to go into remission I strangely get hemorrhoids. Usually starts painful, or burning, its different every time almost, then as it gets smaller it's pretty numb, no hurting. If it's not gone in a week and you are concerned, see a doc. He'l want to look at it though, it's tough to get past that at first, but once the doc has been there on you, you become more comfortable with it. The doc will be very professional about it.
