I've been on birthcontrol pills over over 5 months.
Recently I've been getting a bit of vaginal discharge - though they seem all normal, I'm wondering if it's possible to have discharge when you're on pills. I thought pills are supposed to prevent egg release, and I remember having vaginal discharge around ovulation period before I went on pills. Should I worry about pregnancy? or is it simply because I've recently started working full-time and stressed out?
Excessive discharge may be due to many reasons. Most of the bc pills contain estrogen and estrogen high levels (like around ovulation) make us produce more discharge. This doesn’t mean you are ovulating. If taken correctly, bc pills should give you 99% protection and you shouldn’t worry about pregnancy.

However, birth control pills don’t protect you from infections. Excessive vaginal discharge may be a sign of bacterial or fungal infection.

You may also get a lot of discharge if you are having a lot of sex. I get that a lot when it becomes frequent. But, a visit to a gynecologist may take your mind off of worries.
