Is it possible for the epididymis to separate from the testicle???

I have epididymitis and the epididymis is swollen but it also feels really loose. What are the chances of it separating from the testicle? How securely is it attracted? Are the chances of it separating (if it can) greater when you have epididymitis? And what are the symptoms of it separating (visual differences or physical pain?)?
