I was convinced. I bought a pregnancy test, one of those blue dye ones that are supposed to detect a pregnancy 5 days early. This was yesterday.
And it was positive.
At least, I thought it was. There was a blue line, off center right in the middle. I couldn't believe it. I flipped out, bought two of the digital ones, and retook the test using one. The first said not pregnant. But I had to be right? There was no way all of these things combined was a coincidence, I was the one person that would be pregnant without having sex. It was me, I would be the unlucky one. Maybe the second test wasn't as sensitive.
So I was planning things out in my mind. How I would approach it, I was devastated.
This morning I took another test using first morning's urine. Negative. A few hours after that and bam, my period started. Right on time, like clockwork. The faint blue line I saw? An evap line. Blue dye tests are known for that. Could it have been a chemical pregnancy? Highly doubt it as my period started just on time, not a day early or late.
So the lesson here is: your mind can play tricks on you. Your body can play tricks on you. You could be like me and have a weird phantom pregnancy. Stress will only delay your period. If you feel like you're having symptoms and there was a very minute chance of the guy having precum on his fingers, it's more than likely it's just in your head.
Pro tip: Don't waste any money on pregnancy tests until you miss your period. I took one for peace of mind and it made my situation worse lol.
