I can’t turn around without seeing or hearing that someone is or was addicted to all sorts of stuff, from pain killers, meth to heroin. Most of these people fight addiction with different success but they are still around. Is there a way that person can die of opiate abuse?
Like with everything someone abuses, the death can be the mortal outcome of opiate abuse. Opiates tend to relax the user. Some initial and unpleasant effects include restlessness, nausea and vomiting. With very large doses, the user cannot be awakened, pupils become smaller, and the skin becomes moist, cold and bluish in color. Breathing slows down and death may occur.
