I can't believe that I came upon this too. Same symptoms. On Prednisone off and on for two years. I saw a few say the two day thing and that is where I am now...if off of Prednisone I blow up as I call it. Eyes, neck, around mouth and hands and particular fingers. Burning sensation in those areas too. Miserable.

Hi,

I just wondered if you have found any solution yet? My dad has the same problem (and has for 5 years now). He has to lie in bed with a wet towel over his face most nights because his face is so itchy, red, swollen and sore! Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Maybe allergy testing and then immunotherapy. Also levels checked for anything that may be off in the body.

For years I've had a funny rash that would show up and goes away on it's own fairly soon. And recently I was diagnosed with eczema. And now I'm having itchy swollen red face burning symptoms too. Someone said they lost someone close my Father recently passed away. I am wondering if it's stress related.

People are saying prednisone helps and some allergy medicine called cetrizine I believe it's called and others are saying it's stress related I'm having symptoms too so if the doctors give me anything that works I will share it.

Found this looking for answers as to what this might be... I've had this happen twice in the past year. To help the symptoms I have found that using Vicks or noxzeema (don't wash it off right away, just let it sit on your face) feels super nice. Sorry I don't know what it is yet. If you use the Vicks, don't get it near your eyes because the vapors alone will burn a little from an inch or so away. Helps the itch tremendously though.

I have this now 52 months every day 24 /7 with varying intensity.
Took 24 months for MRI - nothing shows...not MS!

6 dermatologist all refused a referral including those I found myself and said they would see me....Mr Doctor says we may never r know then writes something that promotes specialist to cancel the referral!!

I've been to naturopath, Chinese medicine , now doing BBL laser $1700 for 5 sessions . I've done 1. Still very itchy and low level swelling ,, stinging..

I have had fibromyalgia and thyroiditis with non alcoholic fatty liver and asthma .
Is it autoimmune ?

Still trying but lost a relationship over this- I needed to be better for her ...so I stepped back
It's sad - life's had challenges this? This never goes away .

Doing allergy testing again next week .
Obviously done this for asthma at age 8 I'm now 58 ..

Can do allergy testing via a natural path but have to pay for it ..

Be well

Ian
