ive had similar problem.  doctor says it coukd be stress related.  prescribed a strong antihistamine and it works but only for a few hours.  take it at night just so i can sleep.  cool baths help.  did some reading on it.  could be that your body is on histamine overload.

This sounds like psoriasis? Have you had a skin biopsy? Ask your doctor to send you to a dermatologist and he/she will probably do that in the office. they WILL help you hon that's for sure! Also write down what you eat and what makes it worse etc. like heat, or perhaps spicy foods etc. This will also help the specialist form a better idea of what it is! Psoriasis ins't curable but it's definitely treatable! Let me know how you make out OK? Good luck!

As for the darkness from it use palmers fade cream. I have this but its only on my upper thigh and sometimes my buttocks is irratated by this. Never wear the same underwears twice unless washed. Try not to scratch but rub/massage if possible. Use lotion regularly I use collagen or vaseline.. just try not to scratch only makes it use even though it temporarily relieves itchyness.

Started late last year. Bumps started to appear on my crotch, inner thighs, scrotum and inner butt cheeks. They itch like crazy! At first I thought it was scabies so I underwent 2 rounds of scabies treatment. It didn't work. And clearly it's not contagious else my wife would have got it too. Time to see the medical experts.

1st Dr thought it's some pressure-induced dermatitis, advised me not to wear tight underwear & prescribed me oral prednisolone & cotrimazole cream. 2 weeks on - no relief whatsoever.

2nd Dr thought it's fungal infection, prescribed Daktacourt cream & antibacterial wash. These didn't work either.

3rd Dr thought the 1st 2 Drs could be right but thought you should treat the inflammatory responses before treating the fungus, prescribed me dermasone cream and another anti fungal cream. Temporary relief but the bumps persist.

4th Dr thought it was folliculitis but was just as stumped to see the bumps on the penile head where there are no follicles. Prescribed me Fulmicort (a corticosteroid) and referred me to a dermatologist whom I'll see in 6 weeks.

It's been 6 months since the illness started and I'm now pinning all my hopes on this dermatologist. My sex life is in ruins as the only sensation I got from intercourse is more itch on my penis! Please, if anyone knows the cure to this affliction, for the love of God, please share it with us.
