hi i just found this forum and i am so very glad.. i was a pack a day smoker (on a good day) double that if i was out for a few beers.. plus weed smoker for 28 years.. i am 41.. thats right i started early.. i have been quit for a month now cold turkey.. both weed and tobacco.. i feel like hell... i was also thinking, from info i had picked up on the web, that i should be feeling top of the morning by now.. i have a throat from hell painfull on the right side and ear problems same side.. my eyes are bleary and watery.. i cannot sleep properly.. rage like i wanna fight the world and its mum.. sweats.. gas... just c**p really.. but it still feels worth it compared to 28 years of guilt every time i smoked ( on average every 30 mins of my waking life) the upside is i am strong as an ox in the gym.. and my libido has returned.. oh and also i look like c**p my skin is pale and nasty.. cool huh!
Well, your body wants you to keep smoking since it's addicted, so it's not getting its fix anymore.
Also, when you quit cold turkey, sometimes toxins that your body's used to aren't coming in anymore. Therefore, your body wants to detox itself, but it can't quite get it out. That would explain the pain in your throat, sweating, gas, and the other symptoms. If you want to detox, get yourself to a homeopath or naturopath. They should have a simple way of detoxing the body that will have you feeling loads better.
