Hello,

It would be great if anyone could help me with a couple of symptoms that I have been having.

I am a 26 year old healthy fit female.

Since finishing my period a week ago. I have been getting sharp stabbing pains on the left side of my abdomin near the hip bone. They only last max. 2 seconds and come maybe every 20mins or so. Somtimes there are a few hrs of no pain in between. I have never experienced these symtoms before.
Now, I haven't been to the doctor about this yet. Althought 3/4 weeks ago I went to my GP with bladder infection symptoms and it turned out there was nothing there. My bladder infection symptoms only consist of: Abdominal pain, constant urge to urinate and left side back/abdomin pain. Those symptoms are luckily gone now but I don't know if this has anything to do with the first symptoms that i described.
Does anyone have an idea what may be wrong?
I heard sometimes the right lower abdomen can signify appendicitis, you might want to discuss having an X-ray or CT scan with your primary care MD. Also it can be ovarian, which I found out..I ended up having an ultrasound where they found a cyst..so if it persists you could discuss this with your doctor. My best advice is continue to address it and discuss options with your doctor. If you have any diarrhea or constipation with it you might want to consult a gastroenterologist or let your doc know about this as well. The same symptoms accompanied by fever and feeling sick should be seen an evaluated in an emergency room today. I hope this will help you.
