left lower rib pain after sneezing

About 10 days ago I sneezed and had immediate pain at the base of my ribs on my left side. The pain is sharp and very little I do relieves the discomfort. It is very hard to "bear down" such as with a bowel movement. Any Ideas?

Amonia? Amonia? Amonia?
I was singing a lot last night, and I have asthma, And i kept singing after my breath got short, then all of a sudden my left Rib started to hurt and It feels like someone punched me really hard.
Lol so many grammar errors and misspellings in this paragraph. I was laughing so hard and it made my rib pain even worse. I hope I don't get "amonia"
Not likely. Shingles is extremely painful, cannot hardly sleep, and usually has sores coming out over the skin, depending on the nerves being attacked, can be in the eyes, mouth, tounge, neck and/or lower. IF there are sores and extreme pain, your gonna need big time antivirals.
Get off, get off, get off!
Just did the same this morning. Hurting bad but no trouble breathing. I love getting old.
u meant mispelled buddy just 1 s
Please listen cuz this happened to me and not just once, get a heating pad and lay on it for a couple of hours it will take the pain away for a while the pain will return so just continue over n over and the pain will go away sooner than if you don't do this promise....
Also having the same problem for little over 7 months still pain
Bahahahahahaha!!!! Amonia?!?!?!? Bahahahahaha!!! That was painful enough to read but trying not to laugh was perhaps the worst.
I'm here for medical advice not a bunch of people picking on someone's bad spelling. Do people just feel better about themselves when they're mean to others? Reminds me of grade school.
Every time I see a doctor I am called a drug seeker before I can even get my name out. I,m sent straight to this defensive mode and i think it's RUDE AS HELL for them to treat me in this manner.I DON'T WANT YOU'RE PILLS DOC. MOST OF US ALREADY HAVE BETTER MED.S SO NO THANK YOU JUST DO YOUR YOU'RE F,ING JOB AND QUIT JUDGING PEOPLE YOU KNOW 0 about.
Here, here. Well said. That poor person is in pain. While I prefer correct spelling and sentence structure I am certainly not going to be a grammar nazi to some poor soul who is in obvious pain. Have compassion people, remember, what goes around comes around.
This happened to me as well a week ago. In the morning I trained in the gym and trained side abdonimal crunches and lateral ab exercises which I have not done in a while. I was sat at lunch, sneezed and felt a sharp pain just under my ribs on the right hand side. It hurts when I sneeze, cough and laugh. Everyone else finds an excuse to now try to make me laugh I thought it was going to be temporary and went back to train BJJ on Wednesday and now hurts again...Am going to give it the next few days of rest and will report back here as to how long takes to get better....Would be good if some of the original people commenting had come back to say how long took them to heal...
My update is that it is now 1 day away from 2 weeks since this happened to me and I am about 90% recovered. Went back to training BJJ and my side is pretty much fine apart from a small discomfort still when I sneeze. I would say that first of all when I did this the pain was a 4 or 5 out of 10 and now its a 1 or 2. Have been taking it easy and appears that over the next few days I will be back to 100%. My problem was clearly not as severe as other people on this post and I would expect most people to know their body well enough to be able to judge whether or not you should see or doctor.
