left lower rib pain after sneezing

My left rib cage hurts when I cough sneezes even when I get up I lay on that side because I can lay on the right side due to a shoulder and neck pain

I had x ray of the rib cage and chest it came back clear.i had a x ray of the neck and I got a disc that worn or slip they say.i got a MRI coming up to check the nerves, at the present time I am doing physical therapy on my shoulder and neck.

I had x-ray and it came back clear on my ribcage got disc in my neck that causing pain in my shoulder

I need some help please. I was in bed and when I turned around my left lower rib made a loud noise. Now when I breath deep it hurts and any movement of my left arm or body hurts in just that spot

My chiropractor easily sorts mine out

What a load of Bollocks

I've always been able to do one arm press ups but tonight for the first time I felt my side creek and I had to stop them. When I got up and could feel my side was in pain....when I now sneeze it pretty painful. So the lesson here is stretch properly before putting your body under un-natural positions. After reading the comments below I will take the advice to take a few inflamatory pills and pain killers. Lesson learnt.

I also have the problem, severe pain in the left lower rib after a sneezing. Turning over during a sleep or sitting and getting up which causes movement in the area pains like hell. Took an x-ray to confirm whether there is any rib fracture, there was none. But the pain is still continuing after 10 days. Doctor said it will heal on its known and nothing much can be done except spraying magnesium chloride and hot water bag. I don't want to try pain killers.

YOU need to lighten up! The Fact that ANYONE can find humor while feeling horrible pain is a blessing! Have you forgotten your "bedside manner"?

I've been an Emergency Department RN for 20 plus years. It can be any of these things as the physician said. If you don't take deep breaths there's the increased possibility of getting pneumonia. I am fighting the same thing right now. I have a fractured 6 intercostal left rib. I refuse to take any narcotics for it. Not much a person can do but let time heal.

This is exactly how i am feeling now... my dr. Said it is a muscle rupture right at the center of my chest under the last rib... gave me ibufren and told me should be over in two weeks... i hope so because the pain is quite sharp after i sneeze ..

Oh we can a half ago I sneeze consecutively at least 15 to 17 times in a row and my left rib cage is still killing me is so tender I feel the same as everyone else does that’s why I searched the same thing about your ribs hurting after sneezing terrible Does anyone have a remedy you are a method for healing ..?
