Hello Firebride. I have the same recurrent 'bubbly' white peeling hidden on the inside of my lips (upper and lower - and sometimes almost outside where you can see edges of the white peeling patches where my lips touch when closed). Worsens for a number of days, peels, can seem improved and then reflares all over again for the past 9.5 months. Numerous doctors and dentists have not been able to figure it out. Have you had any luck determining the cause and cure? Thank you!
I had the same symptoms inside my lips. Just got confirmation that it is caused by a yeast infection in my mouth. Your doctor can treat it.

I think it’s toothpaste!!! My problem starts about 30 years ago and it drove me crazy!! Then I found mentadent toothpaste, after I started using mentadent the problem was gone until a couple months ago, I’d ran out of mentadent. I couldn’t find it any stores, guess what? The company (ARM&HAMMER ) stopped making!!!! OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I started having a problem AGAIN!!!!! I tried 8 toothpaste in last 2 month, I even tried kids toothpaste, no luck..,,, l bought 3 more toothpaste today. You can find mantadent online but the price is outrageous!!!! Over $ 50 ( 2 refills) I used paid for $4.99, somebody must knew that mentadent will be discontinued and bought every mentadent in the every store. I am so upset with company. I even called company and they recommended a couple of different kind but no luck. I wish they make mentadent again!!!!

Before I used mentadent advanced whitening toothpaste, in side of my mouth peeled but after I started using mentadent advanced whitening toothpaste, I never had a problem!!!!!!! until stop using it because the company stopped making, now it started again after so many many years. Mentadent advanced whitening toothpaste has fluoride too and tastes better than any other toothpaste. So, I don’t think whitening or fluoride is anything to do with peelings. just some toothpaste doesn’t peels in side of mouth. Only l know is MENTADENT ADVANCED WHITENING fluoride toothpaste. I wish they’d comeback!!! You know, life is already stressful without searching for toothpaste!!!! In 2 month I tried 8 toothpaste, even kids, nothing worked, I bought 3 more today. Wish me luck!!!!!

I have had the same issue for 3 years. I have changed toothpaste, used biotene, prescribed dental paste, took z pack, allergy tested, biopsied, bloodwork for sjogrens disease or Lichen planus. All negative or did not help. I have been to several Drs, specialists, dentists and no one knows what it is but not concerned since it does not spread or bleed. It never goes away but flares up at times. I noticed when it is hot or dry out it flares up. I have asked the gynecologist and it could be an estrogen issue too which causes dryness. I have recently had to change doctors she could see the issue which is not always visible to the eye but can be felt. She said that since I had all the testing, tried the remedies and it does not get worse or spread, she has no idea either and sometimes doctors do not have the answers. Hope this helps.
I KNOW THE ANSWER!! I have it too. My orthodontist knew what it is. She said ORAL LICHEN PLANUS. She said its a common complaint from college kids. She didnt really know why yet but thought maybe stress? Anyway, it comes and goes and some events are worse than others. Good dental care is a must to prevent further problems to your weakened condition in your mouth. I have found recently that using a little baking soda with some coconut oil helps and is soothing. No reg. Toothpaste unless it's like sensodine, plain. And then you dont need to fill the brush. There is no cure as yet for Lichen PLANUS from what I understand. I hope this helps.

Yes I am having the same problem, in the morning only. After reading the replies, it started when I started using whitening toothpaste. I will stop using it as of today, go back to my old and see what happens. Will up date next week. Happy Easter Monday to all.

Thank you.I was checked for this and they did not believe it was my issue. I seem to think it is since all symptoms are same and I spoke to my healthcare co and they think it is too. They told me to purchase Emuaid non-prescription cream that can be used orally. It is expensive but Amazon was cheapest. It tends to soothe it too. I am sorry you have it too but nice to find someone who has same issue to discuss.
Most likely this is calcium deficiency. I had this problem and never ever bothered to research. It was kinda weird but I thought this is not happening to anyone else. After two months I started feeling pain from one part of my left arm. I always felt tired in my left leg too long since 2 years before this unusual problem. I went to school dispensary and I was told I was lacking calcium. Apparently. the peeling from my mouth had already disappeared. I took medicine and this problem disappeared including getting my leg tired. I believe this is associated with calcium deficiency.
