I know this post is a little old but my comment might help someone. I've been on Isagenix for 2 weeks and feel my UC flaring a little. After doing some research I have found that the milk powder in the shakes is produced with a low heat process that turns it into a substance that the body cannot necessarily recognise. So people with auto immune issues might have flares because the body is rejecting the foreign element, ie, the milk powder. This I believe is happening to me because on non-shake deep cleanse days, I don't have the same issues. I'll stick with it for the 30 days because I am am losing weight and programming myself to eat less, but moving forward the shakes probably aren't right for me.

I've been doing the 30 day system for 7 days. Started on a cleanse day, 5 shake days and a cleanse day.
I'm 30 year old female. 170cm. 60kg. Non smoker, non drinker. I workout 5-6 times per week and ordinarily eat a very well balanced diet. 1400 cal. 50% carb, 30% protein, 20% fat. I would say I'm very healthy. I opted to do the program as a friend was very persistent about how much energy they have. I struggle with energy as I have insomnia so always feel fatigued.
By day 2 I developed quite a severe facial rash and also a rash all over my hands. It has gotten progressively worse. The consultants say it's normal. They call it a niacin rash. A niacin rash should disappear after 30 mins. My rash gets worse by the day!
I have less energy then I did before!! I count calories to ensure I'm eating enough. I add almonds, veggie sticks, low fat hummus for snacks and lean meat and veg for dinner.
I am getting up at least 3 times a night to urinate which means I'm getting very broken sleep. I had diarrhoea on the second day and have been constipated since then. The vanilla shake is barely drinkable even when I add berries.
I'm consuming more than 3 X the rdi of many vitamins and minerals and double the amount of recommended protein for my weight and activity level.
The customer support team are horrible to deal with.
The cleanse days are very, very hard. I can't function mentally or physically. I pretty much sit on the lounge all day otherwise I feel as though I'm going to faint. I'm usually constantly moving from 6am until 8pm (2 children and work full time).
Overall I would not recommend the program to anybody. It has made me very unwell after just 7 days. I would hate to see the results after 30. I'm sending all products back for a refund today.
You are better off saving yourself $400- $600 a month.
The support groups on social media are almost cult like. The are so adamant the products are amazing. (I wonder if the commissions they receive help with that mindset)
Don't do it! Big waste of money.
Count your calories. Eat protein with every main meal. Exercise. Drink water. Eat plenty of fresh fruit and veg. Cut out processed foods, preservatives, alcohol and caffeine. Much cheaper, healthier and more enjoyable option.

I've had thrush nearly constantly since being on the shakes. Wondering if it's the cause.

I have tried this product twice in the past, both times I went on it I suffered from severe cases of diverticulitis. I am reasonably young, 44. I never had intestinal problems prior to using this product. Because I suffered with diverticulitis twice in a short period of time, I had a colonoscopy after my second recovery. The colonoscopy revealed nothing unusual and everything looked completely normal. Both cases came when I was using the product and following the program. I have been off of the product for about a year now, and have had no recurrences of illness.

Did you figure out what happened? I think the same thing happened to me. Will you please reply?

I would like to get a hold of you as I have developed the exact same issues after using Isagenix. Not sure how to get a hold of others

These are the same symptoms and experience I have. They need to be shut down before other people are damaged. We need a class action law suit

I have been on Isagenix a few times. I also suffer from IBS on and off. The product contains lactose which can aggravate IBS depending on which foods are triggers for you. If I am not taking digestive support or probiotics here and there I find this can sometimes cause IBS for me. Most of their products Ive tried also contain chromium, which can cause stomach discomfort. I love it, but my friend took one shake and was in the bathroom for the rest of the afternoon.

I was on the fence about Isagenix for a long time, because I'm not a fan of multi-level marketing products. I finally decided to try the Isagenix 30 day challenge because my friend insisted that it made her feel so much better, that it was easy, and that it tasted great. I had tried a few of the flavours of shakes, and thought they did taste good!
When I received the big pack in the mail with all the products, it was a bit overwelming! But I sorted out the shakes and the pills and the powders and the snacks, and went ahead. It's a lot of stuff!!
I do have a lot of stomach issues, a very sensitive gut, and I have worked very very hard to get it working well---as well as getting all of my hormone issues leveled out, with help from doctors and naturopaths. I was eating clean most of the time, and took a good balance of vitamins and minerals, and physically, I felt pretty good to start with. I stopped taking the supplements I normally did because I wanted to see if the Ionic Supreme, etc, made a difference.
On Isagenix, my stomach was NOT happy at all, going between constipation and diarrhea, and it was upset most of the time. I did not receive that boost of energy that my friend raved about, the cleanse days were just awful, and my hormones were completely messed up. It scared me!! (If you're a guys and don't want to read this, please don't) My period was late, and when it came, it stayed and I spotted until 2 weeks AFTER I'd stopped taking it. I went to the doctor because of this, and she asked me what I'd been doing differently--and Isagenix was the only thing. Plus on top of everything, I didn't lose any weight. I didn't want to stop the cleanse because I had paid over $400 Canadian for the kit, but by week 3, I had to quit.
Now, I have to work to rebuild the system that WAS working for me, eating fruits, vegetables, quality protein, no dairy, and complex carbs along with my normal vitamins....not the ISA supplements. I hope everything can get back on track, but I know that 3 weeks of this was NOT doing my body any good.
It could just be my body, but I wouldn't recommend this based on my experience. I know everyone is different, especially when it comes to digestion and hormones, but I am really curious if anyone else has experienced the same kind of reaction.

I have been having the same issues! I started Isagenix last year for a month trial and found I was having several issues similar to IBS. At the same time I was under stress so just chalked it up to that.
I then stopped taking Isagenix and the symptoms stopped.
I recently gave it another try and have started having the same symptoms so won't be giving this a third go!

but.. you didn't follow the directions; It clearly states that you have to do at least 2 shake days before a cleanse day.. And of course you feel weak on cleanse days if you're not used to fasting. I've used Isagenix off and on since 2012 [can't do it full time, 24/7/365; co$t and temptations for "real" food, lol); but when I follow the directions, all goes well :-) Sure, if it's been a while since I did a Cleanse, I feel weak the first time, but it gets easier as you go along (in my experience).

I agree. The FDA document came out 10/2015 on the Cleanse For Life. It indicated about 300 reports of people having your issues. It's the licorice root. Please read the article from Springfield MD dept of FDA. http://www.fda.gov/downloads/advisorycommittees/committeesmeetingmaterials/drugs/pharmacycompoundingadvisorycommittee/ucm465542.pdf

Hi I use to take Isagenix, just curious of your electrolyte and chemical balance. I was hospitalized for hyponatremia bc my sodium levels went to 116. What issues did you have with your electrolytes and chemical balance?
