i have been experiencing the same symptoms described above. But my doctor said it was just a stomach infection but this has been going on since i was 13 and now im 15, is there any other ideas that may lead me to find out whats really wrong?
I too have been suffering from GERD for approximately 10 years and am on high doses of protonix. Have had 3 endoscopies, one colonoscopy and numerous other test (too many too list). During the past 2 years I developed a fear of eating as well and my weight was getting too low. When all of the test came back normal (except that the barium swallow did show I have reflux) my PCP and I agreed to see a surgeon for exploratory surgery. The surgeon took 5 minutes to determine it was my gallbladder. The gynecologist also found stage 1 endometriosis (my sister has stage 4). The surgeon stated that my gallbladder was severely diseased and was a good he took it out. None of the gastroenterologist picked up this. I figure I have had cholecystitis for a year or more. Not all my GI symptoms are gone but I am ticking them off one by one. By the way, if you cannot eat I found it usefull to drink a nutritional supplement such a boost. It has all the nutrients you and is easy digest. Best of luck to all you out there.
GET CHECKED FOR GALLSTONES! I had the same symptoms forever and they tried to tell me that it was IBS, then stress, then nothing. Basically, doctors don't look at the gallbladder if you are YOUNG. Usually it occurs in older people, but, I HAD THEM FROM 16-19 BEFORE THEY TOOK IT OUT! When they did the surgery finally, they discovered that I had gaingreen in it!!! If it were to have exploded (which it was on the verge of) I could have died due to medical malpractice. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE get checked for gallstones. If the pain is especially in your right area below your ribcage and is tender to touch. SEE A SURGEON/SPECIALIST if your doctor doesn't feel that it is possible.
I am 18 years old, female. I've always known myself for being slim and not having that much of an appetite. It has gotten bad though. I have the same symptoms, I don't think of myself of having an eating disorder. I do want to have appetite and gain some weight but it's so unpleasant, eating that is. It's like I don't enjoy food. I frequently have nausea although I never vomit, it's just the feeling like I want to. I often feel tired and gloomy, I used to be very outgoing and active. I force myself into eating and I enjoy only vegetables or fruit.
Sometimes, not often, I have stomaches. I am under stress almost all the time. At times I feel depressed or even too anxious and flipping out for no particular reason.
Is it 100% Celiac Disease?

My 17 year old daughter has these same symptoms, she has what is called POTS or dysautonomia, which has many symptoms, and a strong connection to chronic fatigue syndrome(CFS). She goes to a great pediatric doctor who specializes in POTS and CFS. It's not all in your head, keep looking till you find a good doctor.
I was sick for years. I was around 15 when it started. I went to a million doctors and they didn't know what was wrong. They told me I was sick from a virus (for 3 years!!!!) FINALLY I WENT TO A HOLLISTIC DOCTOR. I had a food allergy blood test. I was ALLERGIC to EVERYTHING I was eating. I don't eat anything I'm allergic to and have been problem free for 3 years. Good luck!
hyper-tension which is a anxiety releated condition could be the answer to some of these problems also

if you have stomach related issues see a gastro doctor not a general GP gastro doctors specialise in issues related to the stomach
a Gp can only offer pain relief

i am 19 year old female i have been having abdominal pain tiredness nuessua and many other of the same symptoms you have mentioned i have always put it off on my nerves but now i have a good life and nothing to worry about or stress over and yet the pain reamains i have visted doctors and they all tell me they don't konw whats wrong with me i am ready for a medical break through. but the question is why is this happening to what seems to be only women?
I am a 28 year old female. I have a lot of the same symptoms as most of you. I have seen 20+ Doctors in the last 4 years. It's been the worst over the last 6 months. I have been treated for everything from depression, fibromyagia, reflux, ... Most of the medications to treat these have only made me feel worse. I am currently living on Zofran (for nausea), Buspirone (for anxiety), and Darvocet (for pain). I have: lost 40 pound in the last 3 months, major pain under my ribcage that is now radiating to my back, anxiety, dry skin, headaches, nausea, constipation, dizziness, unpleasent taste, abdominal tenderness, and inability to eat/loss of appetite. I have had CT scans, endoscopy, colonoscopy, and lots of blood work. They have ruled out things like: Hep A, B, & C, Celiac, TB, colon cancer, renal disease, etc... I have now been diagnosed with: elevated liver enzymes (nonspecific hepatitis), Gastoparesis (delayed stomach emptying), Slow digestive transit, and Migraines. So far no relief in treating these. Only seeming to get worse. My best advise and what seems to work best for me is lots of water, and with only being able to eat very little, I make very healthy choices fruits, nuts, lean chicken, and veggies mainly. I have cut back or eliminated: dairy, wheat, sugar, red meat, and processed foods. I make a lot of smoothies... try frozen fruit and blend it with juice.
Anyway, My point in commenting is: Do not to give up... go to the Dr. and if they tell you it's all in your head (which I have heard more than once). The first time take the meds and see if they help... but if they don't, go back! Then if that isn't enough, get a second opinion. I haven't given up... and don't plan to. I have 2 beautiful children to live for and this isn't living when it hurts to get out of bed.
Good Luck!!! I hope you find your answer... I'll be looking for mine.

i am an RN from central new york .i feel your pain when it comes to nausea i've live with it for 5 yrs. i have diagnosed myself,i feel i have h pylori or something wrong with my spleen. how ive lived that long with it im not sure..good luck.
I'm a 15 y/o male and was diagnosed with Celiac Disease nearly a year ago. Ask a doctor to test for that. I had all of those symptoms and some more.
I am a 20 year old male and still experience symptoms much like the 19yr. old male from Pennsylvania who listed his symptoms earlier on this thread. However, I have not gone to my physician to seek treatment because home remedies work quite well such as 7up or ginger ale (I believe that simply convincing myself that it works actually does make it work). I also have begun to use marijuana heavily as it seems to be the only thing that gets me to eat without forcing myself to do so. It also relieves the rotten feeling or sloshing feeling in my abdomen. I don't want to begin using marijuana every day because I notice a significant decrease in motivation. It has not become a huge problem but it's definitely the largest road block in carrying out my daily life. I also have to take suddenly unexpected trips to the bathroom which can be embarassing as it's a struggle simply to find a bathroom in the amount of time my bowels allow. The feelings of pain and nausea come in waves where i'll be fine one minute then will feel absolutely terrible the next. This usually occurs about 3-4 times a day so I take equivalent tokes of marijuana as symptoms arise. The pot makes everything better (as if I had no problems to begin with). However, the morning of the next day, I need to hit the mary jane again because I'm absolutely nauseas from apparent acid build up (which also feels like acid reflux that only occurs when I wake up) (definitely not a fun way to start the day). Now, I sit at home, go to school when I feel well and feel I have absolutely no time for anything else. My social life has taken a drastic dive. When I would have 3-4 beers at a party, now I flat-out refuse to drink for fear of vomitting. I am desperate for answers because I've heard that if left untreated or undiagnosed that it could lead to more serious medical problems. I've finally decided to see my physician in the coming weeks, but I fear, even with professional experience, that he may not have the answers I require. ALLHELP IS APPRECIATED AS ALL OF THESE SYMPTOMS OCCURED TOGETHER AND SUDDENLY LEAVING LITTLE TO GUESS WHAT THE REASON MIGHT BE.
I was really hoping to get an answer for myself when googling my symptoms... Instead I just found another similar case. But I suppose it's nice to know I'm not the only one out there feeling like this. Maybe it's an ulcer, maybe it's anxiety... It all sounds likely. Either way, I'll be praying for this sickness to leave me and you both, girl! God definitely doesn't want us stressed like this.
Hello all! I have read through quite a few of these posts and was wondering if any of you have checked about having gallbladder disease, or gall stones? I have had gall stones pass before & it is definitely not pretty. The pain starts a few minutes after eating. It feels like maybe heartburn but 10x worst. The pain is towards the right side of your chest & can go to between your shoulder blades. It lasts for 4-8 hours and goes away. & usually gets worst when laying down.
The reason this happens is because you have a blockage in your gall bladder caused by unhealthy eating habits, a buildup of bile in the gall bladder, & can cause gall stones which are just minerals built up into a hard form. This can pass through the gall bladder & be digested, but is very painful. Some people are prone to have gall stones over & over & doctors suggest just getting the gallbladder removed (you don't necessarily need the organ anyways if you eat relatively healthily) It won't be picked up in a scan if the stone has already passed. They would opt for an ultrasound of the gallbladder, but since the stone's passed there's nothing to see.
You can try drinking some lemon juice once the pain starts, & that is known to help with the pain. You can also mention this to a doctor & see if he thinks this is a possibility.
Also, if the pain is more towards the left side of your upper stomach/lower chest (right where your rib cage ends) this could be a pancreas problem. I had pancreatitis a few years back. The pain felt like stabbing in my stomach right across the front above my belly button & got WAY worst after eating. There was also lower/mid back pain. This was diagnosed with a CT scan & bloood test in the ER. They give you antibiotics to help with the swelling, but usually it goes away on its own after a 72 hour liquid diet.
Hope this helped!
