Don’t use soap. It gets sticky fast and doesn’t glide well and can burn. If soap is your only option, make sure you have a cup of water at arms reach and apply a little water once it starts to get dry. I’ve found hair gel actually works the best and surprisingly, Murphys oil makes an awesome lube that stays slick for awhile.
